    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

    Brighton are finishing strongly.

A huge chance for Yasin Ayari after a cut-back by Charalampos Kostoulas but the Swede puts it over.

Ayari has had a hat-trick of chances - and skied them all.

    Keane Lewis-Potter (83 mins)

    Game over.

Wolves look to play their way out of danger but lose possession.

Brentford attack four-on-three, Mikkel Damsgaard sends in a low cross and Keane Lewis-Potter finds the bottom corner with a brilliant finish on the stretch.

After failing to score in his first 14 Premier League appearances this term, the 24-year-old has a double.

  3. 'Statement by Man City before Arsenal play'published at 16:41 GMT 20 December 2025

    Manchester City 3-0 West Ham

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on Final Score

I think for them to be top of the tree will be a nice feeling for them. But the fact is they know Arsenal will go to Everton, it will be a tough game but a team expected to win the league, they should win there.

But for City to play first because this is the time now going into 2026, you go first, this is the statement. Can they match it?

It will be positive for City but Arsenal will be more than ready. Just before Christmas I don't know how big the pressure is but Arsenal will have known this game was going on going into their game and know the scoreline because they want to be top at Christmas.

  4. Postpublished at 16:39 GMT 20 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

A shot by Ferdi Kadioglu is blocked after the Sunderland defence is opened up by a move that involves James Milner.

Then the 39-year-old goes for glory from outside the box. Blocked.

  5. 'You cannot outscore defensive frailties'published at 16:39 GMT 20 December 2025

    Man City 3-0 West Ham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Ham have lacked ruthlessness. They can create opportunities but they have not been clinical today.

You cannot outscore defensive frailties. Nuno wants to build this team to be better defensively but even their attacking chances have not gone their way today.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:39 GMT 20 December 2025

    Wolves 0-1 Brentford

Wolves bring on Tolu Arokodare for Ki-Jana Hoever.

Can the Nigerian score like he did at Arsenal last week?

  7. CLOSE!published at 16:39 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bournemouth 1-0 Burnley

You'd think Burnley would take more risks now they are behind but no, it is Bournemouth who look the most likely to score again as substitute Junior Kroupi just can't quite get to a cross to the far post.

I've got a bit of a grudge against Wolves from how they treated the last two managers. Not going to get anywhere if they keep selling good players and sacking the managers for struggling. They deserve to go down.

    Joe

The problem for Wolves is their strike force of Strand Larsen and Hwang have scored one league goal all season. That's just one more than me and I'm rubbish!

    Kev, Wolves

  9. 'Brighton are not sure'published at 16:38 GMT 20 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

    Daniel Gabbidon
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra at Amex Stadium

You just look at Brighton sometimes and they're not sure what they are in the final third, or what they're trying to do. A reluctance to cross the ball makes you think it's off the cuff.

  10. CLOSE!published at 16:37 GMT 20 December 2025

    Wolves 0-1 Brentford

Brentford are inches away from landing a sucker-punch!

Kevin Schade leads a counter-attack and plays Mikkel Damsgaard in with a stunning cross-field switch.

The Dane takes a touch to set himself and then prods his finish past Jose Sa. The ball bounces just wide of the far post.

  11. 'West Ham have not taken chances'published at 16:37 GMT 20 December 2025

    Man City 3-0 West Ham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Ham have had chances in the second half and you have to take those opportunities when you come to Man City.

They have had decent chances but they just have not taken them.

  12. Postpublished at 16:37 GMT 20 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

As well as James Milner coming on, Brighton have sent on Charalampos Kostoulas for Yankuba Minteh.

Sunderland have introduced Wilson Isidor for Brian Brobbey.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:37 GMT 20 December 2025

    Man City 3-0 West Ham

West Ham win a free-kick, it's well struck by Lucas Paqueta but easily gathered by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The visitors are going to make some changes.

Off: Paqueta, Freddie Potts, Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes.

On: Callum Wilson, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Guido Rodriguez and Tomas Soucek.

  14. Postpublished at 16:36 GMT 20 December 2025

    Wolves 0-1 Brentford

Mateus Mane shows great determination near the corner flag to dispossess Mikkel Damsgaard and send in a cross.

Jorgen Strand Larsen meets the delivery but his looping header lands on the roof of the net.

Wolves really could have done with Mane's energy and tenacity from the start of this game.

  15. 'Mitoma has created space'published at 16:34 GMT 20 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

    Daniel Gabbidon
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra at Amex Stadium

Kaoru Mitoma has created space on two or three occasions and just kept twisting and turning, didn't want to put the cross in. Then gets tackled and gives the foul away.

  16. Postpublished at 16:34 GMT 20 December 2025

    Man City 3-0 West Ham

Well I don't think Gianluigi Donnarumma knew much about that but he's saved it all the same. Crysencio Summerville gets a shot away but the big Italian saves it with his right cheek.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:34 GMT 20 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

James Milner, who made his Premier League debut 23 years ago, comes on for Jack Hinshelwood.

What a story if the 39-year-old marks his 647th top-flight appearance with the winner.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:34 GMT 20 December 2025

    Bournemouth 1-0 Burnley

A blatant yellow card for David Brooks as he pulls back Jaidon Anthony as the Burnley man looked to break forward.

That's Brooks last action of the game and he is replaced by Ryan Christie, who returns after a month out injured.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:33 GMT 20 December 2025

    Man City 3-0 West Ham

Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva makes way for Divine Mukasa, who started the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday but is making his Premier League debut here.

  20. Postpublished at 16:33 GMT 20 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Sunderland

Around 20 minutes plus stoppages left.

Sunderland will be happy with a point that will move them onto a decent 27 points from 17 games.

But this game is for the taking.
