  5. 'Hojlund has led the line quite well'published at 20:59 GMT 28 January

    HT: Napoli 2-1 Chelsea

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona

Hojlund has led the line quite well and has enjoyed the challenge. Whenever he has been making his runs he knows he only has the man marking him to beat, he has not been passed on from player to player, and as soon as an opportunity is created he is off running into space. If someone puts the ball in he will go after it, and that is why they lead.

  6. 'City very much in control'published at 20:59 GMT 28 January

    HT: Man City 2-0 Galatasaray

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

It's been quite comfortable for City so far, but Galatasaray have still posed a threat - mostly when City have made mistakes at the back.

Still, Pep Guardiola's side are very much in control and now they have a two-goal cushion. They are not at the stage yet where they can just think about their goal-difference, though. At this stage making sure of the three points is the most important thing for them.

You can hear more from Onuoha on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 GMT on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

    HT: PSG 1-1 Newcastle

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Parc des Princes

They have found a way of staying in the game. And it's the set-piece Premier League team.

Dan Burn does brilliantly, he keeps it alive and Joe Willock anticipates where the header is going.

It's a really good header and Newcastle, from nowhere, are level.

  9. 'Solid first half performance'published at 20:55 GMT 28 January

    HT: Man City 2-0 Galatasaray

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at Etihad Stadium

Manchester City have been steady and the shape was really good. Erling Haaland was clinical, Rayan Cherki has been the star of the show, and Jeremy Doku was brilliant before he came off with an injury - the only sour point. A real solid first half performance but they need not to be too complacent.

    Benfica 2-1 Real Madrid

Deep into half-time injury time Benfica have turned things around against Real Madrid through a Vangelis Pavlidis penalty hammered straight down the middle.

The Portuguese club had been awarded the spot-kick after defender Nicolas Otamendi was dragged the the floor by Aurelien Tchouameni.

Benfica leading drops Real Madrid down to fifth, but results elsewhere are keeping them in the top eight.

Benfica still need some other results to go their way before they enter the top 24.

  11. Barcelona and Real losing at the break - around the groundspublished at 20:53 GMT 28 January

Benfica have turned it around and Jose Mourinho's side are 2-0 up at home to Real Madrid.

Marseille are losing 2-0 at Club Brugge.

Athletic Club are 2-1 up against Sporting.

  12. PSG can't deal with Dan Burnpublished at 20:53 GMT 28 January

Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Dan Burn has won every header so far. PSG can't deal with him.

  13. As it stands...published at 20:50 GMT 28 January

So, we're halfway through the evening in tonight's final games of the Champions League league phase.

After starting the evening in the top eight Chelsea have now dropped to 12th position.

A late first-half goal from Joe Willock given Newcastle the boost they needed - goal difference puts them in eighth position.

Although Spurs haven't broken the deadlock in Frankfurt they still remain in the automatic places.

Liverpool and Manchester City are both providing professional displays and they sit comfortably in the top eight with both sides leading 2-0.

Arsenal, of course, already have their place in the knockout rounds and sit at the top of the table...

    HT: Arsenal 3-1 Kairat

    Alex Howell
BBC Sport Arsenal reporter at Emirates Stadium

Viktor Gyokeres could have easily had a hat-trick already. He's had some great chances but it has not been his night even though he scored after two minutes.

Gabriel Martinelli saved what could have been a bad miss for Arsenal's third too.

The missed chances haven't mattered a huge amount though as the Gunners are cruising.

Newcastle level right before half time!

It has been almost 45 minutes of one-way traffic, with the Newcastle defence repeatedly battered by a typhoon of PSG attacks but the visitors snatch an equaliser right before the break.

It is Joe Willock who gets the goal, heading in Dan Burn's flick.
