  16. Will Clarke pick Shankland or stick with Adams?published at 18:06 BST 22 June

Shankland started in Scotland's opening win against Haiti, but was benched against Morocco last time out as Steve Clarke opted to play one striker.

It seems likely Clarke will go with the same system against Brazil, but there could be a personnel change with Shankland, Lynden Dykes, Ross Stewart and George Hirst competing with Che Adams to lead the line.

We're expecting Lawrence Shankland to take his seat at the media table shortly.

Shankland arrived at the 2026 World Cup in-form following a whirlwind season for Hearts, in which they narrowly missed out on the Scottish Premiership title.

The 30-year-old scored 24 goals in 38 games last campaign and joined Steve Clarke's Scotland having netted 10 in his last 12, eight in his last nine and six in his last six.

His impressive form has since earned him a move to Rangers.

  19. Group C standingspublished at 17:57 BST 22 June

The final Group C games take place on Wednesday and Brazil, Morocco and Scotland still have it all to play for.

Haiti, however, have already been knocked out of the competition after losing their first two games.

So what do Scotland need to qualify for the last 32?

If Steve Clarke's side beat Brazil then they automatically secure a place in the knockout stages for the first time at a major tournament.

If they lose to Brazil then it gets a bit more complicated.

The top eight third-placed teams also progress to the last 32, and as things stand, Scotland will be one of those eight. But it also means goal difference is going to matter.

Scotland failed to register a shot on target against Morocco last time out, so unless Scotland can find their shooting boots, Clarke may be forced to take a defensive approach to the Brazil game.

Avoiding a heavy defeat is key.

Group C standings. Brazil on four points, Morocco on four points and Scotland on three points. Haiti are knocked out with zero points after two games
