    Marseille 0-0 Liverpool

Mo Salah sends in the corner and it's Joe Gomez who breaks free. He hangs in the air well but can't direct his header on target.

Maybe that's why he's never scored a senior goal yet.

Salah's had four weeks to reflect and think about what he's done and said but I think the talks would have been cleared before he left for Afcon because they didn't want to come back to that.

If there were still problems, he wouldn't have played today.

During his news conference, Arne Slot was bizarrely asked whether Xabi Alonso had been in touch, following the Spaniard's departure as Real Madrid boss last week.

"Yes, he called me and said, what do you think about the team because I am going to take over in six months, can you tell me a little bit more?" joked Slot.

"I can meet one of my former players - Alexis Mac Allister," said De Zerbi, speaking to BBC Sport columnist Guillem Balague for BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast.

"He was important in my life and in my career.

"Liverpool is another special club. We are fighting to reach a position to qualify in the Champions League. Because of all these things, you can imagine how this game is important for me."

Harry Kane warms upImage source, Getty Images

Away from the English sides, there are four more important games in the Champions League this evening.

Harry Kane leads the line as Bayern Munich host Union St-Gilloise and the German side can join Arsenal in clinching their place in the last 16 with a win.

Meanwhile, things are looking a little stickier for Barcelona, who find themselves 15th in the table ahead of tonight's trip to Slavia Prague. A win would keep their top eight hopes alive. Marcus Rashford starts on the bench in that one.

Juventus are also firmly in midtable but hoping to make a late push for automatic qualification. They'll almost certainly need two wins to have any chance of that and face a Benfica scrapping to make the play-offs in Turin this evening.

The best-placed Italian side currently are Atalanta, who find themselves ninth, outside the top eight on goal difference. They can take a big step towards the last 16 with a win at home to Athletic Club tonight.
