Alejandro Garnacho runs onto a through ball and curls a shot against the woodwork from 16 yards out. The rebound falls to Bruno Fernandes, who hits a shot into the ground which bounces up and also smacks off the bar.

You wait ages to something to happen and then two things happen.

Been a while since anything happened in this game, I can't lie to you.

On the conditions: "I have never seen anything like it. It was the same for everyone on the pitch and was probably difficult for the officials as well. There were times where we couldn't see to the far side of the pitch.

Half time came at the right time. We had to delay the restart for safety reasons but the second half was just rain in the end. The first half will take some beating."

On remaining winless: "Today we got what we deserved but there are other games where we feel like we should have picked up more points that what we did. In general we feel like there is a lot of good going on in our approach to games and in preparation and training but we have to just try and put it all together.

"This is the first game where we got what we deserved, every game up to now we were disappointed that we didn't get more. We have to keep going."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola speaking to BBC MOTD: "I think they [Liverpool] were better when it mattered, when the game is on the line. We had a disallowed goal, other chances, and when the game was very open they made the difference when it clearly mattered. The start wasn't very different but the things you do after 3-0 are not very valuable.

"We feel like we were doing well, having our chances, and after the first goal we lost the intensity, focus and you cannot allow this. The momentum changed and probably a lack of experience [counted], we are a young team, we need to calm the game after conceding the first goal."

On his booking for dissent: "I think it has been a misunderstanding and I hope we can overturn it. They booked me for asking for a yellow card but I was asking for an offside. I wanted not an advantage but an offside and there was nothing happening where I could ask for a yellow card. I don't know how this works, here I don't know.

"The problem is it's not the first game where we have a lot of chances but don't get the goals we expected, especially at this level you have to take your chances when you are playing well because for sure they will punish you. We did more than enough to score.

"It is difficult for us to accept. What you do in the boxes makes the difference and we need to improve certain things."

Wolves

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil, speaking to MOTD: "The first half we played very well. No team comes here and wins at a canter. It was not like they were banging the door down. But when we need to fight we need to do it better. The lads are finding out the hard way you cannot play well for a bit.

"It’s disappointing we have come up short. That [second] goal has to be stopped as does the first goal. We need to make sure the fixtures, we have some really tough ones coming up, we need to find a way to fight and scrap.

"We’re not going to dominate games against Aston Villa and Liverpool. We need to behave and act like a team scrapping for everything. We have to make sure we are better when it gets tough."

On the injury to Yerson Mosquera, who was carried off on a stretcher: "It doesn’t look good at this moment. It’s a big blow for us."

No Palace player has touched the ball more than goalkeeper Dean Henderson so far.

Leicester City

Leicester City boss Steve Cooper speaking to BBC MOTD: "We were nowhere near the level first half, I won't hide away from that. We were deservedly losing the game and we were second best in the fundamentals.

"It was accepted by the players that things had to change at half time and we had to be better, that was a must for the second half. The boys stuck to the task in the second half and got themselves together and didn't go under. Sometimes you can go under and get beat comfortably in those situations.

"We took the game to Everton in the second half, yes they had some counter attacks because that is what they do, but we got ourselves level with the set piece. We pushed on to get the winner and it didn't quite happen.

The game could have been better but it could have been worse and we have to accept that the point is all we deserved today."

Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, speaking to Premier League Productions, said: "It's a great moment for us, we have built and developed into a team that always has belief and never gives up and can score late goals.

"To have that experience today and to get a late equaliser in the manner we did, close to the away fans is a fantastic moment for our fans and group to go through.

"It always gives you fresh confidence in the group that the game is not done and we're a team that's capable of scoring late goals and that's important over a season.

"I thought it was a pretty hard-fought game. We started better but we just got opened up by a moment of real quality and a great pass from [Adam] Lallana followed by a great touch [from Tyler Dibling].

"It's steps in the right direction. We need that first win but we've had two tough away games and it is three games in a row where we have got something out of them."

Looking at Ten Hag, he should be very happy. Henderson is going long to Mateta, who is not winning the first contact and it gives United the ball back and allows them to control possession.

When Palace get the ball they can't really get it forward and do anything with it. Been fairly camped in.

Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva: "It was a great, great first half and we created many problems for them.

"It was the same against West Ham [last weekend], we scored just one when should have scored three or four. This was the same.

"In the Premier League you have to be clinical. These two goals were enough to win the game today.

"We are feeling clear and we are pleased. We should have more points to be honest.

"But the performances are good and you can see how this team is growing. We have been showing quality."

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Arne Slot speaking to BBC MOTD: "I think it was a good performance, especially with the ball. Quite a lot of shots on goal, a lot of chances, but not as easy as the score probably looks."

On Luis Diaz: "They were really good finishes but it's also important what led to the finish. They were really aggressive, Bournemouth, so [Ibrahima] Konate understood a ball in behind was a good one to take. For the second Trent [Alexander-Arnold] made a good run with the ball and Luis finished both off really well."

On Darwin Nunez: "We hope we are adding goals [to his game] because that is what you need from a striker but this work rate was really good. We have a lot of good players, a lot of competition, and as long as they keep performing it is a very good thing for me."

On Trent Alexander-Arnold: "I'm not surprised he is involved in so many goals because his quality is outstanding but what I also liked today was how he defended. If he can combine those two things he makes me really happy."

"It is normal we win a home game against Bournemouth but it is a tough schedule, and the teams you face are really strong. They made it a hard fight for us so it is good for us to win again and now let's continue."
