Barcelona are something special this season, that Nou Camp factor is a big thing as well. I felt it against Newcastle.

Atletico have got a brilliant home crowd and I wouldn't underestimate them, but you have to see Barcelona as the favourites as the way that they are right now.

Barcelona will be without Brazilian forward Raphinha for both legs of this tie after he suffered a hamstring injury during the international break.

The former Leeds man enjoyed a career-best season in 2024-25 and finished fifth in the 2025 Ballon d'Or, but this term he has struggled with injury.

That said, when available Raphinha has been key to Barcelona's success, scoring 19 goals and providing eight assists in 31 outings in all competitions.

The 29-year-old will be missed tonight.

    .

For one second I thought they were selling Liverpool scarves in the PSG club shop. They are actually half and half scarves. Even the champions of Europe can have bad taste.

It's been a hive of activity around the Parc des Princes all day.

They have been jet washing the outside walls ready for tonight, the tables outside nearby bars, cafes and restaurants have been packed, and TV crews from all over the world have been recording outside the ground.

    This feels huge.

    Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter at Parc des Princes

The worry is for a lot of Liverpool supporters is they are going to travel with a lot of trepidation. What happens if PSG score first?

They have a habit of scoring at home. Will two or three goals follow as they did at the weekend when Liverpool faced Manchester City?

  8. Will fit-again Isak feature in Paris?published at 18:43 BST 8 April

    Paris St-Germain v Liverpool (20:00 BST)

Liverpool have £125m club record signing Alexander Isak available again after recovering from surgery on a damaged ankle.

Isak has not featured since December, but the club record signing has travelled to Paris. Will he feature in Arne Slot's plans for this evening?

"He can play a part otherwise I wouldn't have brought him," added Slot, who is set to make changes with Jeremie Frimpong and Alexis Mac Allister in line for recalls.

We'll have full team news shortly.

So, a tough old night ahead for Liverpool, who are already on a run of back-to-back defeats and face the toughest of tests against the defending European champions in Paris tonight.

Arne Slot's side have lost 15 matches in all competitions this campaign and many fans are calling for an end to the Dutchman's tenure.

So many times we have seen the Reds come alive in Europe - can they produce something special? And if they don't, is Slot's time up?

    .

    The calm before the storm.

And boy, a storm has been brewing since Liverpool's pitiful defeat at Manchester City last weekend.

Will Liverpool respond in the French capital?

Some fans fear it will get worse before it gets better but Arne Slot's team have saved some of their best performances for the Champions League stage this season.

They beat Real Madrid in November after losing six of the previous eight games. They won in Italy against Inter Milan in December and, on their last visit to France in January, put three past Marseille without reply.

Will they still be in this tie when the return leg takes place at Anfield next Tuesday?

  11. Good evening!published at 18:33 BST 8 April

Another cracking night of Champions League quarter-final action ahead.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich both lead their respective ties over Sporting and Real Madrid after they both won last night. But it's still only half time for them.

Tonight we've got four more hopefuls. Who will put one foot in the semi-finals?

    • Barcelona v Ateletico Madrid
    • Paris St-Germain v Liverpool
