    Penny for Mohamed Salah's thoughts?

On the bench for this huge game. Of course we know he'll be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season but he will be gutted not to be out there tonight I imagine.

There is just something incredibly special about this stadium. It's a place where football magic can happen.

The flags, the singing, the passion, the blue and red colours. It's something quite unique.

It could be a cricket score for PSG tonight. Liverpool will do well to leave with a two goal deficit, let alone a draw.

They don't boo the Champions League anthem in this part of the world.

They have just played it over the speakers at full volume and the fans are going wild.

A great atmosphere inside this ground but Liverpool's travelling 2,400 are doing their best to make themselves heard.

Now there's a pre-match light show taking place.

    Kick-off is fast approaching.

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I have spoken to a lot of fans who are saying this is as bad as Roy Hodgson [tenure at Liverpool] and that was a bad time for Liverpool.

The Liverpool fans are really concerned about that side of things. Saying that is as bad as it has become this season.

It is a crucial point in Liverpool's season. There are not many times in recent history that you come to the ground, and you don't expect Liverpool to win. That is the feeling me and Ian Dennis both had this evening because of where they are at the moment.

I think we know what we are getting with PSG. They will dominate the game. We know it's going to be difficult, Liverpool keep letting goals in.

Liverpool need to get good position up the pitch and defend. But they can do it, definitely.

Well, just four days after I watched Atleti play Barca at the Metropolitano in La Liga, I'm at Camp Nou to watch these two sides play again.

Barca beat Atleti 2-1 on Saturday. So who will come out on top tonight?

Atletico Madrid have only lost one of their previous four Champions League games against Barcelona (won two, drawn one), and have eliminated the Catalan side in both of their previous knockout stage ties (2-1 on aggregate in 2013-14 and 3-2 in 2015-16).

But history suggests that Barcelona should be favourites in tonight's first leg.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 25 games against Atleti at the Camp Nou across all competitions (17 wins and eight daws), with their last defeat coming in February 2006.

Atleti have never won a Champions League away match against a fellow Spanish opponent, losing four of the five they have played, and are winless in their last six away games in the knockout stages of the competition.

Antoine Griezmann's farewell tour at Atletico Madrid is well underway - Atleti's all-time leading goal-scorer will join Major League Soccer side Orlando City at the end of the season.

Could he sign off by ending his former club's Champions League dream?

During his pre-match media conference on Tuesday, Atletico boss Diego Simeone paid an emotional tribute to the club's all-time leading goal-scorer.

"I want to thank you for your hard work and your humility. You are an admirable person in a society where young people need role models like you. Thank you for everything you have given us, are giving us, and will continue to give us," Simeone said with Griezmann sat beside him.

"Thank you for your commitment, for knowing how to distinguish between the friendship we share and the professional relationship between a coach and a player."

Simeone then joked: "I encourage you to keep enjoying yourself. I care about you deeply. But if you don't run tomorrow, you're coming off!"

  18. Lewandowski delivers late blowpublished at 19:44 BST 8 April

Robert Lewandowski scored a late winner as Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 on Saturday to open up a seven-point lead at the top of La Liga.

Giuliano Simeone put the hosts in front in the 39th minute, but Marcus Rashford drew Barca level three minutes later.

Atletico were reduced to 10 men in first-half injury-time after Nicolas Gonzalez brought down Lamine Yamal as the Barca winger raced through on goal.

Barca dominated the second half, and finally found a winner in the 87th minute when Lewandowski bundled home a rebound from close range.

Will that late victory gave Barca a psychological advantage tonight?
