  3. Postpublished at 16:34 BST 18 October 2025

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Watford

The home side have really improved after what was a pretty even first half.

They've now had six shots on target compared to only the one for the Hornets.

However, as long as it's only 1-0 this game could yet have a sting in the tail.

    (Sorry.)

  4. goal

GOAL Norwich 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 16:32 BST 18 October 2025

    Mark Sykes (73 mins)

    Rocking Robins...

On as a sub and on the scoresheet.

Mark Sykes is on the end of a cross to touch home.

Norwich are heading for a fifth successive home defeat at the start of a season...

  5. goal

GOAL: Charlton 2-1 Sheff Wedpublished at 16:32 BST 18 October 2025

    Jamal Lowe (69 mins)

Oh hello! Maybe this isn't done and dusted for Charlton just yet.

Substitute Sean Fusire hits the post with a low skidding shot and Jamal Lowe is on hand to tap in the rebound.

  6. 'The attack isn't there'published at 16:31 BST 18 October 2025

    Coventry 2-0 Blackburn

    Kevin Gallacher
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

I have concerns over our goalscoring.

Every game I've seen this season, we're happy to prepare defensively, which shows the manager has little faith in his front line.

The offensive play isn't there. In the first half we got opportunities, but we don't have clinical finishers. At this level you need to take your chances.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:31 BST 18 October 2025

    Birmingham 1-2 Hull

Blues boss Chris Davies makes some changes as one would expect after a red card. He's not playing it safe though.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Tommy Doyle are on for Keshi Anderson and Marc Leonard.

As it stands, they won't be reaching their 30th game unbeaten at St Andrew's.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:29 BST 18 October 2025

    Norwich 0-0 Bristol City

Off go Oscar Schwartau and Jeffrey Sclupp for Norwich.

They're replaced by Kellen Fisher and Jovon Makama.

When will the nerves start jangling at Carrow Road?

  9. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:29 BST 18 October 2025

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Watford

Blades boss Chris Wilder is freshening things up for the final 20 minutes.

Danny Ings, Harrison Burrows and Jairo Riedewald are all on.

It's a club debut for former Crystal Palace man Riedewald, who signed on a short-term deal on Friday.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:27 BST 18 October 2025

    Norwich 0-0 Bristol City

Mark Sykes replaces Ross McCrorie for Bristol City which was the initial change made by boss Gerhard Struber today.

Vladan Kovacevic tips over brilliantly to deny Zak Vyner.

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Watford

Can Sheffield United put this to bed with a second?

They're set to move off bottom spot and move to within a couple of points of safety as it stands.

Excluding play-off matches, they haven't scored two goals in a league game since 25 April.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:26 BST 18 October 2025

    Stoke 1-0 Wrexham

So close to a second for Stoke.

Million Manhoef curls a left-footer against the bar.

  13. Postpublished at 16:25 BST 18 October 2025

    West Brom 2-0 Preston

No moves to the bench yet from Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom. This is a test.

Ah, literally as I type that he makes FOUR changes. Michael Smith and Daniel Jebbison, two forwards, are among them.

  14. Postpublished at 16:25 BST 18 October 2025

    Norwich 0-0 Bristol City

Josh Sargent is Norwich's talisman, the man they rely on for the bulk of their goals.

He's got six in all competitions so far this season but his sights are slightly off on this occasion as he fires over the bar.

  15. RED CARD TO BIRMINGHAMpublished at 16:24 BST 18 October 2025

    Birmingham 1-2 Hull

It's just not Jack Robinson's day is it?

In the first half, he accidentally ran into the path of the ball to put it in his own net for the opener and now a second yellow card means he's off.

He felt his side should be awarded a corner from a deflection. The referee disagreed. Robinson protested and as a result has been sent his marching orders.

    Ouch.

  16. Postpublished at 16:22 BST 18 October 2025

    Stoke 1-0 Wrexham

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson goes to his box of tricks with three changes.

Nathan Broadhead, Matty James and Liberato Cacace are on for Ryan Longman, George Dobson and Ben Sheaf.

Will that work for the Welshmen?

  17. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:21 BST 18 October 2025

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Watford

    Javi Gracia isn't messing around.

The returning Watford boss reacts to his side going a goal down by making a triple change.

Kwadwo Baah, Tom Ince and Marc Bola are all on.

West Brom celebrate scoringImage source, Rex Features

    It's two!

An end-to-end couple of minutes end with Albion doubling their lead. It's a brillint finish again, this time Isaac Price running into the area and curling across goal and in.

  19. 'Goalkeeper had no chance'published at 16:20 BST 18 October 2025

    Coventry 2-0 Blackburn

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

I thought Torp's volley was a good one but that trumps it.

The goalkeeper has no chance. Thomas-Asante has no right to score there, that's a man with real confidence.

Coventry now have daylight in this game. It's not very often you see that in the space of two minutes.

  20. Postpublished at 16:19 BST 18 October 2025

Lewis Dobbin fires over the top as Preston push forwards on the hunt for an equaliser.
