Milwall remain unbeaten away from home with their win at QPR and boss Alex Neil spoke to BBC Radio London:

"The most important thing at this level is to win the game - we look at the performance and we know we can play better.

"We found ourselves 2-0 up without playing well but for us it's about getting points.

"I do think we'll get better - to be an effective team in this league you need to win when you're not playing well and we did that."

QPR's six-match unbeaten run came to an end with a home defeat by Millwall at lunchtime.

Boss Julien Stephan told BBC Radio London:

"Football is very simple, when you have big chances you have to take them.

"We had three, four or five chances in the first 25 minutes and they had just one shot I think but then we weren't able to defend a long ball.

"Collectively we did a good performance but we have to take our chances and efficiency makes all the difference in football."

Tough to take for Javi Gracia to lose his first game on his return in such a tight game. I am confident that Watford can recover when they play West Brom on Wednesday. COYH

Coventry were off the top of the table for less than 24 hours with their win over Blackburn enough to move them back above Middlesbrough who won last night.

Stoke are up to third as they beat Wrexham and West Brom's win over Preston sees them in fourth place.

Millwall and Bristol City both maintained their unbeaten away records with victories over QPR and Norwich respectively shooting them into the top six.

Sheffield United beat Watford to move off the bottom where they're replaced by city rivals, Wednesday who lost at Charlton.

Leicester can go third if they beat Portsmouth in the late game (19:45 BST).

It was a proper game of football.

Coventry found it a lot more difficult today than they have throughout the season, but you have to find a way to win games and they did.

I thought Blackburn were spirited today and they gave Coventry a run for their money. I think they were a tad unfortunate to lose 2-0.

Coventry are the team everyone are talking about, they're going to have to get used to these type of games now.

Birmingham's 29-match undefeated streak at home comes to a dramatic conclusion at the hands of Hull City.

Down to 10 men after Jack Robinson's argument with the referee earned him a red card, Blues were as tenacious as ever.

They conclude the game with a 2.31 xG, 65% of the possession, and eight of their 28 shots on target - but it's not enough.

As soon as Joe Geldhart struck a low ball into the net, it got taken out of their hands and not even a well-delivered penalty from Jay Stansfield could salvage the game.

    What. A. Game.

    Joe Gelhardt (90 +3 mins)

Game over. Birmingham's impressive home run has come to an end.

Such is Blues' resolve that even keeper James Beadle has been involved in the attack, coming up for a corner and sending his header wide.

But they can't find that net and, more importantly, Hull can.

Joe Gelhardt nestles in a third for Hull and that's got to be that.

Coventry return to the top of the table after two highlight reel strikes from Victor Torp and Brandon Thomas-Asante.

Blackburn brought it to the CBS for the first 57 minutes but when Torp and Thomas-Asante both struck wonder goals inside of two minutes, their challenge crumbled.

Only two goals conceded against Coventry though? There's a couple of teams who can attest they've suffered much worse.
