    Real Madrid 1-2 Man City

Real Madrid are just wide open at the moment, losing the ball sloppily and giving Manchester City the chance to make runs.

Jude Bellingham is penalised for a foul on Jeremy Doku as the Belgian tries to get away from him.

    Club Brugge 0-3 Arsenal

I have to say I fear for Wolves when they go to Arsenal on Saturday.

Top versus bottom at the Emirates and if the Gunners turn on the style like they are doing in Belgium tonight, it could be a cricket score.

Mikel Arteta's thoughts are already turning to the weekend.

He's sent on Gabriel Jesus and Riccardo Calafiori for Piero Hincapie and Viktor Gyokeres.

You don't always have to attack quick. Man City want more control and this is more like a Pep team when you see the domination of the ball.

    Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Newcastle

    Newcastle smell blood.

They win the ball high and Bruno Guimaraes feeds Nick Woltemade. He takes a touch, spins and looks for the corner but Leverkusen get a vital block in.

  5. 'Great save by Courtois'published at 21:23 GMT 10 December 2025

    Real Madrid 1-2 Man City

It all started by Federico Valverde chasing a ball he didn't need to chase.

Jeremy Doku gets it and comes inside, but it a great save by Thibaut Courtois.

    A strong left hand.

Jeremy Doku does really well down the left-hand side, chopping onto his right foot to get away from Raul Asencio.

He gets a shot away and it requires a really food fingertip save from Thibaut Courtois.

Never known a team with such a sense of entitlement as Real. Every tackle on them is always a foul, yet every challenge by them is perfect. Really gets in the way of actually playing football.

That is so, so close to Anthony Gordon's second of the night.

His pace is electric to create space in the box before hammering one off the base of the far post.

    Martin Keown

That's what I was demanding. We weren't seeing enough of that in the first half, what a strike. A complete contrast from when Martinelli was picking up the ball in the first half. A wonderful hit, the goalkeeper has no chance once again. Confidence restored.

Kylian Mbappe didn't take part in the warm up. It feels unlikely we will see him. But, desperate times and all that.

Two brilliant goals from Madueke and one from Martinelli tonight. Trossard and Saka have real competition for their spots when everyone is fit.

BBC Sport Arsenal reporter at Jan Breydel Stadium

There's been some great goals in this game and that Martinelli strike is up there with Madueke's in the first half.

Martinelli has now scored in all five of Arsenal's Champions League games this season. It's the first time that an Arsenal player has done that

We don't know how fit Kylian Mbappe is.

Will Xabi Alonso get a chance to call on him? Will he try and give the France captain 10-15 minutes?

    Whose goal was better?

Thumbs up for Noni Madueke's long range finish.

Thumbs down for Gabriel Martinell's curling finish from outside the box.

Nico O'Reilly showed a turn of pace to get that. I thought it was a good ball from Vinicius.

O'Reilly was quick across the grass to intercept it off Rodrygo's toe.

Thibaut Courtois punches away with a strong hand to prevent Phil Foden getting a shot away.

Real Madrid get on the break and that is absolutely superb defending from Nico O'Reilly, he nips the ball away from the advancing Rodrygo.

Tino Livramento is so good, isn't he?
