Have your say

  1. Shankland off for Heartspublished at 21:22 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 1-0 St Mirren

St Mirren starting to apply real pressure here.

Declan John picks out Malik Dijksteel at the back post, but his header was poor and bobbled harmlessly wide.

Lawrence Shankland now being replaced with Frankie Kent. That's six defenders on now for Hearts.

  2. McInnes looks to hold onpublished at 21:18 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 1-0 St Mirren

    Allan Preston
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Hearts will go to a back three.

  3. Triple Hearts changepublished at 21:18 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 1-0 St Mirren

Triple change for Hearts. Claudio Braga, Alexandros Kyziridis and Blair Spittal are off after hearty efforts.

Jamie McCart, Tomas Magnusson and Pierre Landry Kabore are on. That hints at a defensive change.

  4. Postpublished at 21:17 GMT 14 January

    Falkirk 0-1 Celtic

Kieran Tierney is back on and appears okay, much to Celtic's relief.

And Steve Clark as well - the Scotland head coach is in the stands.

Madness how, for the third time, returning Martin O'Neill can get players motivated. Hopefully can pile more pressure, get a few more goals and three points.

  6. Postpublished at 21:12 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 1-0 St Mirren

    Wrong decision, Killian Phillips.

The St Mirren midfielder is picked out in the box but opts to shoot instead of laying the ball off to an unmarked teammate.

He only finds the side netting.

  7. ouch!

Postpublished at 21:12 GMT 14 January

    Falkirk 0-1 Celtic

There is real concern for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney, who is down in a heap in the box.

I think he got a bit of a bash in the face and the physios are mopping up some blood. He is concious though.

  8. CLOSE!published at 21:11 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 1-0 St Mirren

That's as close as St Mirren have come.

From a corner, Declan John picks out a mix of Alex Gogic and Dan Nlundulu and between them they glance it just past the post. Inches away.

  9. Postpublished at 21:10 GMT 14 January

    Falkirk 0-1 Celtic

A brilliant driving run from substitute Louie Marsh has Celtic scrambling and he is chopped down.

The Bairns can't make the most of a free kick. Celtic have very little control of this game.

  10. What a finish!published at 21:10 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 1-0 St Mirren

    Allan Preston
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

They have deserved that. They have had the better chances.

It is a wonderful finish. What a goal for Shankland.

If I know Derek McInnes as I do, I think he will bring a few on in defence.

  11. Celtic changespublished at 21:09 GMT 14 January

    Falkirk 0-1 Celtic

Midfield duo Reo Hatate and Luke McCowan are on for Celtic in place of Yang Hyun-jun and Sebastian Tounekti.

  12. goal

GOAL HEARTS 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 21:08 GMT 14 January

    Lawrence Shankland

The breakthrough - and it has been coming!

Blair Spittal plays a brilliant one-two with Alexandros Kyziridis before the former picks out Shankland in the middle, and his first time finish picks out the bottom corner.

Hearts have dominated this game, despite playing with a man disadvantage.

  13. Double debut for Bairnspublished at 21:07 GMT 14 January

    Falkirk 0-1 Celtic

Falkirk throw midfielder Louie Marsh and striker Ben Parkinson on for their debuts.

Finn Yeats and and Barney Stewart make way.

  14. Double Buddies changepublished at 21:06 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 0-0 St Mirren

St Mirren make a double change. Malik Dijksteel and Dan Nlundulu are on, replacing Conor McMenamin and Oisin Smyth.

Those are certainly attacking changes by visiting boss Stephen Robinson.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:04 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 0-0 St Mirren

Shamal George - what a save!

Claudio Braga steals the ball on the left and plays a brilliant first time cross to pick out a sliding Lawrence Shankland, but the St Mirren goalkeeper makes a superb save to deny the Hearts captain.

  16. Postpublished at 21:03 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 0-0 St Mirren

Hearts go close again - and once more it's Alexandros Kyziridis.

Harry Milne bursts down the left and pulls it back to Lawrence Shankland, who gets it out of his feet and finds the Greek winger.

Kyziridis is able to take a touch away from the defender and fire at goal, but it takes a deflection and goes just wide.

  17. Improved Celticpublished at 20:59 GMT 14 January

    Fakirk 0-1 Celtic

    John Collins
Former Celtic midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Celtic are moving it quicker now.

Their passes are a little sharper.

  18. Game in balancepublished at 20:59 GMT 14 January

    Fakirk 0-1 Celtic

    Allan Preston
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

St Mirren have to play at a pace 10-man Hearts can't handle.

But, at the minute, they aren't doing that.

It would be a missed opportunity if they don't win the game.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:58 GMT 14 January

    Falkirk 0-1 Celtic

Celtic centre-half Liam Scales taps home from five yards out, but Daizen Maeda is well offside in the build up.

The striker probably should have headed in from the free kick in the first instance!

Set-pieces are Celtic's most likely source of chances at the moment, which is not what you expect.

  20. Buddies thankful for VARpublished at 20:55 GMT 14 January

    Hearts 0-0 St Mirren

    Allan Preston
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

An indifferent performance by the referee.

If it was not for VAR, Beni Baningime would have been on a yellow card, which would have been a disgrace.
