Cambridge United boss Neil Harris makes one alteration to the side which beat bottom club Newport County last Saturday.

Sullay Kaikai starts, replacing the absent Shane McLoughlin.

MK Dons head coach Paul Warne also decides to make one change from the team that started the 2-0 victory at Walsall on Monday night.

Jack Sanders, who came on as a late sub at Walsall, makes his first start for a month replacing the missing Liam Kelly while fit-again Aaron Collins is named on the bench alongside Scott Hogan.

Second meets third today in League Two as Cambridge United host MK Dons in one of three lunchtime kick-offs in the fourth tier.

United currently have the best home record in the division - picking up 37 points in 16 matches this season at the Abbey Stadium - while MK Dons have won three of their past four games on the road, including a 2-0 win at Walsall on Monday.

Paul Warne's side are also nine unbeaten in League Two, keeping a clean sheet in each of their past three games - their joint-best run without conceding this campaign.

A win for either side today therefore would be a huge boost in their campaign to securing promotion and in United's case would take them to the top of the table before Bromley's match against Accrington later.

Cambridge United have the chance to go top of League Two for at least a few hours if they can beat MK Dons at lunchtime.

If that were to happen, Bromley would then need to beat Accrington Stanley to return to the summit.

Barnet's meeting with Chesterfield could have a bearing on the play-off places, as could Salford's trip to Colchester with the Ammies having lost four in a row.

Harrogate missed the chance to climb out of the relegation zone by drawing with Cheltenham last night.

Leyton Orient are without Jack Simpson today so Dan Happe starts in the only change from the side which won at Northampton last weekend.

Georgie Gent, Jack Shepherd and Scott Banks drop to the bench for Barnsley and are replaced by Mael de Gevigney, Tennai Watson and Jonathan Bland.

But for a wonderful free-kick from Charlton's Macaulay Gillesphey at Wembley last May, life could have been very different for Leyton Orient.

That strike was the difference between the Addicks being in the Championship or possibly the O's.

Spin forward nine months and things look grim for Richie Wellens' side as only two points are keeping them out of the League One relegation zone and a potential drop back to the fourth tier.

They have lost four of their past six outings and possess the division's leakiest defence. But for the 16 goals of Dom Ballard, it could be even bleaker.

Barnsley are hardly pulling up tree themselves and the loss of their own 16-goal man Davis Keillor-Dunn to Wrexham in the January transfer window has hardly helped.

Since he departed, the Tykes have won just one out of five games and they have failed to win any of their past eight away trips.

While they are seven points clear of trouble, this feels like a match neither side can afford to lose.

    Northampton v Peterborough (12:30 GMT)

There are four changes to the Northampton side from the one beaten by basement dwellers Port Vale on Tuesday, including in goal where Lee Burge replaces Ross Fitzsimons.

Also coming in are 17-year-old Jake Evans for his first league start, Michael Forbes and Jack Perkins.

Fitzsimons and Max Dyche are among the substitutes but Nesta Guinness-Walker and Cameron McGeehan are not in the squad.

Peterborough bring Brandon Khela into their starting side in place of the benched Patryk Sykut as Luke Williams makes one change from the side which shared six goals with Exeter last weekend.

Derbies bring their own unique attraction but three points is surely all that matters in this Nene dust-up.

Northampton are on a three-game losing streak and find themselves two points short of safety, while Peterborough's late and unlikely play-off charge has stalled with four defeats from their past seven outings.

"It's quite easy to get up and walk when things get tough but that's not what I do, I walk into the fire, I don't walk away from it," Cobblers boss Kevin Nolan told BBC Radio Northampton this week.

Well he may need a fair few extinguishers to help him get out of this one - the second-lowest scorers in League One have the third-worst home record and only one league victory in 2026.

"We're really pumped for the game, we know it's going to be a good atmosphere. It's something that's really important to us because we want to give our fans that lovely feeling so we can't wait," Peterborough head coach Luke Williams told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

His Posh side were bottom and seven points behind Northampton when he took over in October. They now lead the Cobblers by 11 points and completing the double over their opponents may reignite their top-six challenge while increasing the pressure on Nolan.

    League One table

We could have new leaders in League One today with Cardiff City needing to win at Doncaster Rovers to avoid the possibility of losing top spot to Lincoln City, who will fancy their chances at home to struggling Blackpool.

Reading and Stevenage can put real pressure on the play-off sides if they can beat Bradford City and Stockport County respectively.

Leyton Orient's meeting with Barnsley looks like a big one at the wrong end of the table.
