Malik Mothersille, fresh off the bench, is then straight into the action. He bursts down the left and gets to the byeline and Archie Collins has to slide in and concede the corner.

Mothersille waves his arms in the air to the travelling fans to get them going. Just a little bit of needle there.

They’re standing really strong Peterborough. They’re working as a unit.

You get the feeling this half is going to turn into Stockport trying to break down Peterborough and the hosts hitting them on the break.

Abraham Odoh almost breaks through for the Posh but Ben Hinchliffe is quickly out of his goal to sweep up for County.

Abraham Odoh is too keen for Peterborough and blocks the corner from about two yards away.

Stockport get the free-kick and then eventually work it into Nathan Lowe at the near post but his attempted Cruyff flick is wide of the mark.

County have shown more in nine minutes of this second half than they did in the entire first 45.

Now Stockport win their first corner of the game and it's greeted with a bit of noise from the away end. They haven't had much to shout about until now.

Owen Moxon swings it in and Peterborough's Tom Lees nods it behind for another corner...

Dave Challinor will be much happier now. They're asking questions of Peterborough. A much better start from Stockport County.

Stockport are playing with a bit more bite in the first few minutes of this second half. Nathan Lowe is trying to make things happen when he gets on the ball.

That’s much more like it from Stockport County. Although he didn’t hit the back of the net it will have give him confidence to get his head on the ball and get it on target.

Better from Stockport and a first attempt on target. And it's that man Nathan Lowe on the end of it.

He drifts into space in the box to meet a swinging delivery with his head but he can only divert it straight at Peterborough keeper Alex Bass from about 10 yards out.

A chance at least for the visitors. We didn't say that once in the first half.

It’s better because you’ve got more bodies up top. Nathan Lowe is trying to stretch the pitch. They’re trying to get joy from long balls.

The message from Dave Challinor to his Stockport players at half-time will surely have almost certainly been to move the ball quicker.
