Frustration for Macario, she had a really good international break.

She's probably not playing in her best position and Sonia Bompastor has to find that balance.

The club's all-time top goalscorer Sam Kerr is on for Lauren James, and Sjoeke Nusken also comes on for Catarina Macario.

More frustration for Chelsea as Lauren James doesn't have the legs to reach a ball on the left that rolls behind for a goal kick.

Chelsea's next corner is aimed at Aggie Beever-Jones but she makes a mess of getting contact on it at the near post and Everton clear up field for Toni Payne to chase.

The longer this game goes on and the higher Chelsea press for an equaliser, the better chance Payne has of doing damage the other way.

Hikaru Kitagawa's looping cross towards the back stick causes chaos in the Chelsea defence and despite Kelly Gago's best efforts to hook the ball towards goal it falls to Ellie Carpenter to thump clear.

Just over two minutes into the second half and it's been more of the same so far.

Chelsea have to do something different to get past this Everton backline.

Off the pitch this week Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor spoke about wanting to be "proactive" in the fight against online abuse to coaches, players and officials in football.

The Blues boss gave her verdict on social media use in the game after a BBC investigation found that more than 2,000 abusive social media posts were posted about the Premier League and Women's Super League in a single weekend.

Everton have defended really well, and Chelsea have had a couple of chances in this first half. They started really fast.

Everton had a game plan and they stuck tremendously well to that game plan. And the threat is in behind the Chelsea backline, and they end up getting that goal from that.

Chelsea are in this game. They're dominant in every other area except putting the ball in the back of the net.

Chelsea dominant, Everton efficient.

The Toffees are one up in the only stat that really matters.

Groans greet the half time whistle as champions Chelsea find themselves a goal down at home to Everton.
