Agreed David. There doesn't seem to be a clear plan other than 'shoot'.

There, when she chops, you have to get more whip on it. It's inches away.

It's just not happening for Chelsea.

Alyssa Thompson pops up on the left, cuts inside and fires through a wall of bodies in the Everton box and watches the ball drop agonisingly close but wide of the far bottom corner.

Another Chelsea attacker is thrown into the fray.

Wieke Kaptein, who has yet to lose after 25 appearances in the WSL, replaces Maika Hamano for the final quarter of an hour.

I don't think Everton can hang on with the way they are playing.

They're defending well but there's a long way to go. They need to have more possession of the ball.

How on earth has that not gone in?

Somehow the post has saved them, but credit again to Everton, they were first to the ball, and that's where they've been ahead of Chelsea today.

Deary me. The Everton goal has led a very charmed life this afternoon.

On another day Sandy Baltimore's corner is deflected inside the back post for an equaliser, but instead it bounces off an Everton back (possibly Martina Fernandez) and then off the post before it's hoofed into the winter sky.

It's end to end stuff now.

One minute Ruby Mace is guiding a bouncing ball back to Courtney Brosnan inside the Everton six yard box, and the next Katie Robinson is inches away from running onto a Kelly Gago through ball and making it 2-0 to the visitors.

Aggie Beever-Jones was also replaced by Johanna Rytting Kaneryd for Chelsea a few moments ago too.

Sam Kerr can be guilty of needing three or four chances to put one away, but she will still be a bit rusty after so long out. That really should be a goal and 1-1.
