  1. 'Neither team with hold of the game'published at 19:59 GMT 25 February

    Millwall 0-0 Birmingham

    Darren Carter
Ex-Birmingham midfielder on BBC Radio WM

Neither team at the moment are able to get a strong foothold in the game.

Both teams are showing good signs. To be fair to Millwall, they're moving the ball with purpose and getting it forward, but Blues have shown some nice signs as well.

It's whoever can get the ball for a sustained period will get a grip-hold in this game.

  2. Postpublished at 19:58 GMT 25 February

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Plenty of pressure from Sheffield United again.

Femi Seriki earns a second corner for the home side.

It's cleared and recycled to Harrison Burrows whose shot is straight at Carl Rushworth.

Coventry are struggling to get out of their own half at the moment.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:56 GMT 25 February

    Norwich 0-0 Sheff Wed

Norwich's injury problems show no signs of improving.

Forward Mo Toure, who has scored four goals in three Championship appearances, has limped off inside 10 minutes, to be replaced by Mathias Kvistgaarden.

Looks like he suffered a groin problem and pulled up chasing a ball over the top.

Ephron Mason-Clark and Japhet Tanganga are both cautioned for their pushing and pulling match.

Referee John Busby has a long chat with both players before dishing out the night's first cards.

  5. 'Coventry in for a game'published at 19:55 GMT 25 February

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

    Carl Asaba
Former Sheffield United striker on BBC Radio Sheffield

That was a really good opportunity, it's a great strike from Brooks, but it just touched the Coventry defenders legs.

I think Coventry know they're in for a game.

  6. Postpublished at 19:54 GMT 25 February

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

From Tyler Bindon's corner the ball drops on the edge of the area for Andre Brooks and his 18-yard drive takes a deflection and goes into the side netting.

We've got a melee now in the Coventry area between a few players...

  7. CLOSE!published at 19:54 GMT 25 February

    Norwich 0-0 Sheff Wed

Another glimpse of goal for the visitors as Svante Ingelsson launches in a trademark long throw which flicks off the head of City's Jacob Wright and flies into the side-netting.

  8. Postpublished at 19:53 GMT 25 February

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

Gus Hamer picks up the ball and whips a cross along the six-yard line and Coventry goalkeeper Carl Rushworth has to palm it away.

The home side are noticeably getting the ball wide on both wings and it's causing problems.

  9. Postpublished at 19:51 GMT 25 February

    Norwich 0-0 Sheff Wed

It's the Owls who are first to show at Carrow Road and, after winning possession back in the Canaries half, the ball is worked to Joel Ndala to fire in an angled shot which City keeper Vlad Kovacevic is able to gather.

  10. Postpublished at 19:47 GMT 25 February

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Coventry

There are 3,000 travelling fans in the Coventry end at Bramall Lane tonight and they are making themselves heard.

With this being the same Sky Blues side for the third successive game it looks like Frank Lampard has found what he believes is his strongest team.

Sheffield United make just one change from the side which beat Wednesday at the weekend.

Kalvin Phillips is suspended after his sending off and is replaced by Djibril Soumare.

Frank Lampard sends out the same Coventry side which won at West Brom on Saturday which means it's the same 11 for the third successive game.

  17. Blades looking sharp for Sky Blues visitpublished at 19:35 GMT 25 February

Sheffield United v Coventry (19:45 GMT)

    Media caption,

Boss Chris Wilder on his side's disciplinary record, the Steel City Derby and Coventry.

As seasons go this could well end up being a case of what might have been for Sheffield United.

What would have happened had they not conceded that last-minute goal to Sunderland in last season's play-off final?

Where might they be had they just stuck with Chris Wilder in the first place?

    Anyway, coulda, shoulda, woulda right?

As it stands the Blades are nine points off the top-six places but, perhaps more pertinently given their start to the campaign, are now 11 points clear of trouble.

Only Southampton and Birmingham (14) have taken more than United's 13 points over the past six games - that is form which may be too late but at least offers hope going forward.

Victory over the leaders Coventry City at Bramall Lane tonight would be a feather in the cap and the Sky Blues look vulnerable having lost three of their past four league outings on the road albeit they are looking more solid after a post-Christmas wobble.

Successive wins over Middlesbrough and West Brom have reasserted City's lead at the top with a victory tonight sending them five points clear.

    Millwall v Birmingham (19:45 GMT)

Millwall will seek an immediate return to winning ways as they host play-off chasing Birmingham tonight.

After taking 10 points from their previous four games, Alex Neil's side went down 3-1 at home to Portsmouth on Saturday, their first defeat in six at The Den, and are now fifth, seven points behind second-placed Middlesbrough, albeit with this game in hand.

Blues are seven points back in ninth, five points behind Wrexham in the final play-off spot, after making it eight Championship games unbeaten, taking 18 points from that run, with a 2-1 win at Norwich on Saturday.

Chris Davies' men have lost on three of their past four visits to SE16 but romped to a 4-0 win in the reverse fixture in November while Millwall have won just four of their past 17 midweek games, losing nine of them.

  19. Stoke drifting and Oxford sinking?published at 19:31 GMT 25 February

Stoke v Oxford United (20:00 GMT)

A dejected looking Stoke City boss Mark RobinsImage source, Shutterstock

Safely inside the play-off places and only three points behind the top two - that was Stoke City at the start of December.

Seems a long time ago now doesn't it? Especially if you're a Potters fan.

Now they are as close to the relegation zone as they are to the top six - 10 points.

Mark Robins' side may well have the division's meanest defence with only 31 goals conceded but their descent has been slow and steady with only two wins from their past 12 games.

I mean it could be worse, they could be Oxford United who once again have spun the wheel of managers and alighted on Matt Bloomfield to either dig them out of a hole, which has got deeper since he arrived, or rebuild and launch a bid for an immediate return next season.

The U's are winless in their past 13 midweek league games, have taken only five points from six matches and, bar Sheffield Wednesday, are the Championship's lowest scorers with 28 goals.

If Stoke fail tonight they really will know the game is up.

  20. Canaries aim to soar away from doomed Owlspublished at 19:29 GMT 25 February

Norwich v Sheff Wed (19:45 GMT)

While Sheffield Wednesday prepare for life in League One, Norwich will seek to put further ground between themselves and the Championship drop-zone when they welcome the Owls this evening.

Sunday's derby defeat at Sheffield United was a 10th straight loss for Henrik Pedersen's side and confirmed their relegation, though seven of the 11 points they have earned on the pitch this season have come away from Hillsborough, including their only win of the season at Portsmouth in September.

After a run of five wins in six games, the Canaries went down 2-1 at home to Birmingham on Saturday but remain four places and five points ahead of the bottom three, with this game in hand.

Philippe Clement's side are winless in their past four encounters with tonight's opponents, earning just two points, and lost 3-2 at Carrow Road last March - Wednesday's last floodlit win, 10 midweek games ago.
