  1. 'They need to create a strong atmosphere'published at 17:19 GMT 7 February

    FT: Birmingham 2-1 Leicester

    Michael Morrison
Former Leicester and Birmingham defender on BBC Radio Leicester

I think Leicester need to create a siege mentality and not concern themselves with noise.

They need to understand that this is now the group of players they have and they need to create a strong atmosphere in the dressing room.

As a group I don't think they can fault the effort today, circumstances again made it a difficult afternoon.

If we're honest Birmingham were the bigger dogs today, they were expected to win and Leicester were the underdogs.

    FT: Wrexham 0-2 Millwall

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

Wrexham have won four away league games in a row, but they've taken just one point from their past three Championship matches at Stok Cae Ras, a place where they had been formidable prior to losing to Norwich City last month.

As for Millwall, that's just one league defeat in nine now, and they have opened up a six-point gap between themselves and seventh-placed Preston North End who are level on points with Wrexham.

Coventry are held by 10-man Oxford United which means they'll be knocked off the top if Middlesbrough beat Sheffield United on Monday.

Ipswich are up to third as they beat Derby and Hull lost to Bristol City.

A statement win for Millwall at Wrexham while Preston are up to seventh by beating Portsmouth and Birmingham are moving up on the rails with a win over Leicester.

    • Millwall boost their play-off push with a 2-0 win at sixth-paced Wrexham.
    • Fourth-placed Hull City fell to a 3-2 home defeat by Bristol City and Preston beat Portsmouth 1-0 to close the gap on the play-offs.
    • Leicester's miserable week was compounded by a 2-1 reverse at Birmingham City after going down to 10 men in the first half for Bobby De Cordova-Reid's red card.
    • West Brom picked up a point that moved them out of the bottom three in a 0-0 draw with Stoke.

Got to disagree with James @16:40, you’re still top in February having come from the doldrums not that long ago. Lampard has done a brilliant job, as a Bristol City fan I am totally envious!

    Matt, Bristol

James in Coventry’s comment that Lampard needs sacking is all that’s wrong with modern football fandom.

    Chris, Reading

The only embarrassing thing here is takes like that from James. Calling for the sacking of a manager that’s taken you from 17th to a playoff and top of the table in just over a year despite not having one of the strongest squads?

    FT: Coventry 0-0 Oxford

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

We were flat in the first half, better in the second half but we couldn't make the chance.

With the extra man you get so much more width to cross the ball in, but we were not doing that enough - even at the end we were passing sideways and backwards.

That should have been a win today and a nice three points to put the pressure on 'Boro.

The decision making at times just wasn't quite what we wanted.

    Hull 2-3 Bristol City

Bristol City celebrateImage source, PA Media

Despite a squirrel's best efforts to disrupt things we are all over in Hull and it's a morale-boosting win for Bristol City.

Hull had taken the lead through Oli McBurnie midway through the first half but two goals in six minutes from Rob Atkinson and Ross McCrorie turned the game on its head before the break.

Emil Riis then added the third during the second half but a Kieran Dowell goal on the 78th minute set up a nervy finale, which the Robins just held on through.

The 10-man strugglers hold on for a point and league leaders Coventry are now without a win in three!

Frank Lampard's men had all the ball and all of the game's shots on target but they just could not find a goal.

Middlesbrough up next for them, by which time the Sky Blues could be behind Boro in the table.

Oxford fought manfully throughout, especially after sub Will Lankshear was sent off with just under 15 minutes to go.

Alfie Devine's excellent first-half header gives Preston a first Championship win in five attempts and pushes them up to seventh place.

Portsmouth tried to force the issue with Ebou Adams coming closest to an equaliser as he had a header cleared off the line.

We've had plenty of opportunities to put the ball into the box but we haven't made the right decisions.

It's going to be so frustrating, this won't help Coventry fans' state of mind.

Birmingham make it six league games unbeaten but were given a helping hand by Leicester who had Bobby De Cordova-Reid sent off.

Abdul Fatawu levelled for the visitors after Ibrahim Osman had given Blues the lead inside three minutes.

De Cordova-Reid's dismissal for an awful challenge on Osman tossed away all of the Foxes' hard work and Jay Stansfield won it with his tenth goal of the season.

Wrexham totally dominated but it was the Lions who took the lead after Max Cleworth turned the ball into his own net just shy of the hour mark.

    Birmingham 2-1 Leicester

Leicester have just got to go for it now, there's nothing else to lose.

If they can just get one more set piece maybe that will be something.

Birmingham have been smart in this second half, you can see why they've won so many games at home.
