Fran Kirby makes a brilliant run through on goal and is played in by Charlie Rule, but Jennifer Falk gets a vital touch to keep Brighton out.

There was just a tad too much pace on that pass from Cornelia Kapocs and Beata Olsson couldn't turn it back into the box, but she does win Liverpool a corner.

It's whipped in but the offside flag eventually goes up and gives Brighton a breather.

This Brighton side are excellent. I saw them against Arsenal in their last round and they were worthy winners.

Risa Shimizu launches the ball into the box but Beata Olsson can only get the slightest of touches and her header drifts well wide.

Both of these semi-finals are difficult to call. Looking to Liverpool and Brighton this is a massive opportunity for both to get to the final. They'll both believe they can win this one.

Perhaps this game is destined for penalties.

In both of their league games this season, Liverpool and Brighton have played out draws.

Rosa Kafaji grabbed a late leveller in the 1-1 draw at St Helens in November, while the return fixture in March finished goalless.

Brighton come into this one in good form. They played Arsenal in midweek and got a good point off them. The manager rotated as well. He took out seven of his regulars because the focus was on this game and getting to the final.

Brighton are on a roll. Dario Vidosic's side are full of momentum at the moment following a six-game unbeaten run.

Since losing to Chelsea in mid-March, the Seagulls have beat Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, defeated the now newly-crowned champions Manchester City, and held Manchester United and the Gunners to draws in the WSL.
