That's not a bad conversion rate, but Gareth Taylor will want his side to make more of their opportunities in the box.

Well that was pretty good, wasn't it?!

Liverpool have looked the more dangerous side and we're potentially seeing the impacts of Brighton's mid-week draw against Arsenal.

But there's still plenty of time left for things to change. A big team talk needed for both sides during the break.

And that will be that. An entertaining first 45 minutes in St Helens.

Kiko Seike could have squared it, but she goes for goal and Jennifer Falk sticks a foot out to make the stop and Brighton send the rebound over the bar.

There'll be one minute added on to wrap up this first half.

Madison Haley tries to run onto a superb ball over the top by Maisie Symonds, but Jenna Clark and Kirsty MacLean had it covered, and up the offside flag goes.

Brighton haven't really had a sniff of goal since Manuela Vanegas halved the deficit.

The keeper had it covered. She knew it wasn't going in but I don't think she expected it to hit the crossbar.

Caitlin Hayes does well to head a Liverpool corner clear, but it only goes as far as Alejandra Bernabe, who takes a swipe from the edge of the box and the ball bounces up and off the crossbar.

Can Brighton hit their forwards earlier when they win back the ball?

It's got a bit scrappy in the last couple of minutes. Liverpool are dominating possession and trying to make a push forwards, but Brighton are ready to pounce on any mistake.

The Seagulls just can't get a proper foothold.

Have to say, it's really refreshing to see both teams flying forwards and searching for goals.

It's easily the biggest game of their seasons, but there's no sign of caginess.

Liverpool are trying to re-assert themselves and they take their time playing around the back before surging forward.
