Any other club would have sacked Slot by now. He has systematically dismantled a winning team with his selections and negative tactics.

  2. 'Gakpo has got to score'published at 15:49 GMT 4 January

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea and Fulham goalkeeper on 5 Live at Craven Cottage

Szobozslai whips it in and Gakpo loops the header back across the face of the goal and it hits the upright. A free header, six yard box, he has got to score.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 GMT 4 January

    Tottenham 1-0 Sunderland

So far, so good for Tottenham as they lead at the break.

Sunderland have not laid a glove on them.

Conor: Re Brian @ 15:43 - Bench Van Dijk for who? We have no reinforcements due to injury.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:48 GMT 4 January

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

Liverpool work the corner to Dominik Szoboszlai. He delivers a beauty of a cross to the back post where Cody Gakpo waits. He heads towards the far corner but it comes off the inside of the post.

Turns out Gakpo is offside, anyway.

Everton fans boo as Kevin Schade almost gets in on goal.

  8. Postpublished at 15:46 GMT 4 January

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

Curtis Jones and Florian Wirtz link well. The German picks out his team-mate in the box but the attempted back heel flick goes behind for a corner.

  9. 'Fulham full of confidence'published at 15:46 GMT 4 January

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea and Fulham goalkeeper on 5 Live at Craven Cottage

For Liverpool there is a slight question mark now. They were beaten by a ball played in behind when they were slightly high up the pitch and they were punished, so now there is a feel that we can't get beaten by another ball in behind like that. They've dropped deeper and Fulham having scored the goal are full if confidence and on the front foot.

  10. Postpublished at 15:45 GMT 4 January

    Everton 0-1 Brentford

Brentford are ending this half well, but Igor Thiago's cross is over his pals in the box.

  11. Postpublished at 15:45 GMT 4 January

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

It's Fulham who are looking more likely to score right now as Virgil van Dijk heads Antonee Robinson's long throw clear.

Another underwhelming Liverpool performance so far.

  13. 'Wissa looks sharp and lively'published at 15:45 GMT 4 January

    Newcastle 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Rob Elliot
Newcastle goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra 3

Newcastle will be pleased that every time Bruno Guimaraes gets the ball, they manage to get Wissa in behind. He looks sharp and lively. It's been good defending by Palace.

  14. Postpublished at 15:45 GMT 4 January

    Everton 0-1 Brentford

Wonderful cross from Mikkel Damsgaard from the right wing but Kevin Schade sends his shot straight at Jordan Pickford. If he could have found a side it would be 2-0.

  15. 'Richarlison loves an acrobatic attempt'published at 15:44 GMT 4 January

    Tottenham 1-0 Sunderland

    Curtis Davies
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Initially, I thought Kolo Muani took it on too soon but Richarlison loves those acrobatic ones.

Good from Muani and they're unlucky.

  16. Postpublished at 15:44 GMT 4 January

    Tottenham 1-0 Sunderland

Another quick break down the right by Tottenham ends with Richarlison attempting to volley in a cross, but he doesn't get the right connection and his effort goes wide.

  17. Postpublished at 15:43 GMT 4 January

    Everton 0-1 Brentford

Michael Kayode has had to wait 41 minutes for his first long throw but the time is here. It's cleared at the second or third attempt by Everton.

  18. Postpublished at 15:43 GMT 4 January

    Newcastle 0-0 Crystal Palace

Newcastle have the ball in the net again through Joelinton but the Brazilian is well offside as he puts one past Dean Henderson.

Why is the manager scared to bench Virgil? He’s half the player he was last season. Most of our goals conceded have been his fault/error

  20. Postpublished at 15:42 GMT 4 January

    Newcastle 0-0 Crystal Palace

Yoana Wissa is causing all sorts of problems in behind Palace's defence.

Woltemade's made a great start to his career at Newcastle but there's no doubting that Wissa offers a greater threat with his constant runs.
