    Preston 0-1 West Brom

West Brom's goal has deepened Leicester's woes of course.

If results stay as they are, the Foxes will be eight points from safety with three games left.

There is, it must be said, uncertainly over the Baggies' points total though - with the reported profit and sustainability charges potentially resulting in a deduction.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:19 BST 18 April

    Preston 0-1 West Brom

It's not been a great beginning to their afternoon for Preston.

Already they lose Benjamin Whiteman to injury. He's replaced by Jordan Thompson and now Alfie Devine is on the decks requiring treatment.

  3. Postpublished at 15:16 BST 18 April

    Hull City 0-0 Birmingham

Ivor Pandur makes a comfortable save from Jay Stansfield's long range shot.

The former England Under-21 man has only scored once since 22 November.

  4. Postpublished at 15:16 BST 18 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Stoke

Wrexham, who started the day four points off the play-offs with four games to go, simply have to win and George Thomason has tested Stoke goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.

  5. Postpublished at 15:14 BST 18 April

    Swansea 0-0 Southampton

Plenty of early pressure from Swansea.

Marko Stamenic has seen a shot blocked as has Ji-Sung Eom.

  6. Postpublished at 15:14 BST 18 April

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Charlton

Max Lowe drags an effort wide for the home side.

It's over a year since they last won a league game in front of their own fans. Could today be the day?

  7. Postpublished at 15:13 BST 18 April

    Watford 0-0 Sheff Utd

Not much really to play for in this one but Andre Brooks and Patrick Bamford have had efforts saved by Egil Selvik in the Watford goal.

Big goal in the relegation fight.

Isaac Price displays the best of his fleet feet to slip beyond Preston's defences.

It's worked around the final third until it falls at Josh Maja's magic feet to be struck cleanly into the netting.

The lack of spirit and desire in this current Leicester side throughout the season is what has brought us to the brink of League 1. They were pitiful again today. They should donate their earnings to charity. I fear next season could be just as bad!

    Keith, Surrey

Can’t defend, can’t score, relegation a certainty. Need a complete new team and manager next season to even compete in League One.

    Wrexham 0-0 Stoke

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras, Wrexham

If you needed evidence of how bad Stoke's defensive worries are, Sorba Thomas - who has 10 goals and 10 assists to his name this season - is playing at right-back today.

It'll need a big effort from a makeshift back four if the Potters are to end their away losing run.

    Hull City 0-0 Birmingham

Birmingham have gone with the same side that started the 2-0 home win over Wrexham on Sunday.

They cannot trouble the top six themselves now but another victory here would dent the Tigers' hopes.

  12. 'Odd bit of hope nowhere to be heard now'published at 15:09 BST 18 April

    FT: Portsmouth 1-0 Leicester

    Colin Hazelden
BBC East Midlands Today sports reporter at Fratton Park

The mood among Leicester fans leaving Fratton Park is at best despairing and at worst furious.

The common thread through it all the view that this team plays with no heart or passion.

The odd bit of hope that was there pre-match is nowhere to be heard after the game.

  13. 'I could do same interview last five games' - Rowettpublished at 15:08 BST 18 April

    FT: Portsmouth 1-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Gary Rowett to Sky Sports after defeat at Fratton Park to relegation rivals Portsmouth:

The game was very, very even, nothing in it at all.

That final action, that final quality was a bit disappointing for us.

The frustrating bit again is that I could do the same interview after the last five games - we miss chances and concede from a set-piece.

We haven't been clinical enough in those moments.

The Championship is an attritional league and you have to do the basics really well - the lad goes to head in and it comes off his shin, we don't get a lot of fortune but you make your own fortune.

  14. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 18 April

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

West Bromwich Albion are looking to get on the front foot early here.

George Campbell gets his head onto Callum Styles' cross but Preston's defences hold firm to block a fast opener.

  15. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 18 April

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Charlton

Early opportunity for the away side but Harry Clarke can't get his touch right and Pierce Charles is off his line to sort it out.

An early claim for a penalty for the hosts as Sam Smith is barged over when latching on to a long ball, but referee Adam Herczeg is not convinced.

Phil Parkinson didn't look impressed with that decision.

  18. Losing runspublished at 15:04 BST 18 April

    Wrexham 0-0 Stoke

Both sides today are bidding to end losing sequences today.

Wrexham are aiming to avoid losing three successive league games for the first time since February 2024.

As for the Potters, they have lost five away Championship matches in a row and are winless in their past seven league fixtures on the road.

Wrexham's play-off ambitions remain, and Stoke simply need to show some signs of positivity to salvage their season - which started so promisingly.

    Draw, anyone?

  19. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-0 Norwichpublished at 15:03 BST 18 April

    Sam Morsy (2 mins)

Bristol City get off to a roaring start!

The Robins weave their way through up to the final third for Cam Pring to cut the ball back into space right in front of the D.

It's put on a plate for Sam Morsy, who makes no mistake as he rifles his strike into the net.

    Fabulous.

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

The Baggies bench has some familiar faces for this afternoon's trip to Deepdale.

Karlan Grant, Tammer Bany and Chris Mepham have all returned from long-term injuries to make the match-day squad.

Can they play a role in saving West Bromwich Albion from a drop down to League One?
