    PSG 0-0 Tottenham

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Everyone thought Spurs had gone with five at the back again, but it looks more like a four. Archie Gray is in midfield.

You can hear more from Warnock on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 GMT on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

  2. 'Formation isn't as defensive as we first expected'published at 20:09 GMT 26 November 2025

    PSG 0-0 Tottenham

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham and England keeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Spurs havee started off with a back four of Porro, Romero, Van de Ven and Spence, and it looks like Gray is sitting as a defensive holding midfielder. He is progressing higher up the field and putting pressure on. Maybe the formation isn't as defensive as we first expected.

  3. 'Laimer is such a dogged competitor'published at 20:09 GMT 26 November 2025

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Emirates Stadium

Vincent Kompany wants to see Konrad Laimer 1v1 with Bukayo Saka tonight, hence his shift in position for this match.

Laimer is such a dogged competitor. He is really fit, he gets up and down, and he doesn't give anyone any space or time.

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

A roar goes up as Bukayo Saka forces a throw-in which is launched into the box but Bayern get it clear.

This hasn't been a rip-roaring start but Arsenal are showing plenty attacking intent. Leandro Trossard has an attempt blocked before the offside flag goes up.

    Liverpool 0-1 PSV

Virgil van Dijk may well feel like he was fouled but what on earth was his hand doing up that high?

He was just asking for trouble.

  7. Postpublished at 20:07 GMT 26 November 2025

    Liverpool 0-1 PSV

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport at Anfield

What was Virgil van Dijk thinking?! I think he was waving for a foul but you can't really get away with doing that mid-jump can you? So risky.

The Kop did their best to put off Ivan Perisic but it's a cool penalty by the former Tottenham man.

Liverpool captain Van Dijk is still arguing with the referee.

  8. Postpublished at 20:06 GMT 26 November 2025

    PSG 0-0 Tottenham

First shot goes PSG's way but it is nothing for Tottenham to worry about as Warren Zaïre-Emery's effort from outside the box is blocked.

    Ivan Perisic (6 mins)

    Awful, awful start for Liverpool.

Ivan Perisic looks as calm as possible as he sends Giorgi Mamardashvili the wrong way.

    Anfield is stunned again.

  10. 'Kane will cause problems'published at 20:06 GMT 26 November 2025

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

    Stephen Warnock
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich has gone extremely well for him, there is no moving away from that. He has shown his true capabilities.

We often think of him as just a goalscorer, but there is so much more to his game. He is one of the most intelligent footballers. He is clever with how he wins his duels, how he moves into defenders and how he times his runs. He is absolutely brilliant.

This guy is phenomenal. He will cause problems tonight.

  11. Postpublished at 20:06 GMT 26 November 2025

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

Both teams are still sussing each other out.

    Suddenly, a chance for Arsenal.

Eberchi Eze is fouled out wide deep inside the Bayern half and Declan Rice swings in the free-kick but William Saliba's header flies wide.

  12. PENALTY TO PSVpublished at 20:05 GMT 26 November 2025

    Liverpool 0-0 PSV

    Nightmare for Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk is judged to have handled in the box and I don't really think he can have a complaint there.

He's saying he was fouled but his hand is high in the air.

  13. Postpublished at 20:04 GMT 26 November 2025

    PSG 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham were cut through with ease playing five at the back against Arsenal but it is definitely a four-man defence here. Archie Gray is playing in midfield.

  14. Postpublished at 20:04 GMT 26 November 2025

    Liverpool 0-0 PSV

It's a decent corner into the mixer but Virgil van Dijk gets a big head to it but Ibrahima Konate concedes another corner.

    Another PSV chance here.

    Liverpool 0-0 PSV

Milos Kerkez unconventionally turns the PSV cross behind for the first corner of the game.

Let's see how Liverpool deal with this.

  16. Postpublished at 20:03 GMT 26 November 2025

    Arsenal 0-0 Bayern Munich

He might only be 17 but Lennart Karl has started with real confidence.

A couple of positive drives forward already for Bayern Munich's highly-rated youngster who is playing as a No 10.

  17. Postpublished at 20:01 GMT 26 November 2025

A 10th appearance for Giorgi Mamardashvili in the red of Liverpool tonight.

He's filling in for Alisson, who is ill.

Arsenal v Bayern Munich (20:00 GMT)

    Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have named midfielder Lennart Karl in their starting XI.

At 17 years and 277 days old, he is the second youngest player to start a Champions League match at Emirates Stadium, behind Youri Tielemans in November 2014 for Anderlecht (17 years, 181 days).

  20. 'There is a nice arrogance about the younger players'published at 19:59 GMT 26 November 2025

Arsenal v Bayern Munich (20:00 GMT)

    Stephen Warnock
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is a nice arrogance about the younger players these days, but a nice arrogance. They all have belief in themselves and that's what you need at this level.

The game has massively evolved in terms of sports psychology now being huge. That is helping tenfold with the younger players coming through in terms of dealing with the pressure of being the 'next big thing'.

If I were 17 years old playing for Bayern Munich, I would be running around checking everyone's shoes making sure they were polished.
