  1. goal

GOAL St Mirren 0-4 MOTHERWELLpublished at 60mins

    Emmanuel Longelo

It must have been close as VAR took its time.

However, the goal stands and Emmanuel Longelo has his goal.

The evening goes from bad to worse for 10-man St Mirren as the winger is handed his sixth goal of the season.

  2. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 57mins

    St Mirren 0-3 Motherwell

Motherwell weave their way into the home penalty box again.

Emmanuel Longelo lashes the ball into the net from a difficult angle through the legs of goalkeeper Shamal George.

  3. 'King has let Robinson down'published at 20:49 GMT 21 February

    St Mirren 0-3 Motherwell

    John Rankin
Former Hibernian & Dundee United midfielder on BBC Sportsound

King's let his manager down no matter what he's done.

His team is 3-0 down and now they're down to 10 men. You need all your players on the pitch when you're getting the runaround. You need everyone working and fighting.

There's been a reaction in St Mirren and more intensity, but now they are down to 10.

  4. Strange decision?published at 20:47 GMT 21 February

    St Mirren 0-3 Motherwell

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

    It is a strange one.

The referee seemed to have his back to the incident. Has there been something said?

It is the type of situation where we don't know what's happened.

  5. RED CARD King (St Mirren)published at 52mins

    St Mirren 0-3 Motherwell

Callum Slattery goes down off the ball and the Motherwell midfielder is holding his face.

St Mirren defender Richard King is walking up the tunnel after being shown the red card.

The TV replay suggests Slattery had a hold of King's shirt and the Jamaican took a swipe with his hand at his opponent in an attempt to release the grip.

It doesn't look like there was much contact, but the red card stands!

  6. 'The game has gone'published at 20:43 GMT 21 February

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

You see the frustration for Stephen Robinson.

It’s four and a half minutes into the second half when he’s probably sat for 10 minutes at half-time drilling his team in what has to improve and the changes that need to be made.

    And now the game’s gone.

  7. goal

GOAL St Mirren 0-3 MOTHERWELLpublished at 49mins

    Ibrahim Said

    Game over surely now!

Motherwell are pouring forward towards the home penalty box, the ball breaks to Ibrahim Said and the forward's drive takes a deflection and squirms under goalkeeper Shamal George.

  8. Postpublished at 47mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

The three half-time changes haven't altered the direction of traffic.

St Mirren have already had to defend three dangerous crosses into their penalty box.

They survive, but it's Motherwell dominating possession again.

  9. Postpublished at 20:38 GMT 21 February

    St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

Centre-half Marcus Fraser, midfielder Keanu Baccus and striker Mikael Mandron are the ones on at half time for St Mirren.

  11. St Mirren changespublished at 20:34 GMT 21 February

    HT: St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

Looks like St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson has made three changes at half-time and his team are out on the pitch early despite the heavy rain.

  12. Hosts need plan Bpublished at 20:31 GMT 21 February

    HT: St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

St Mirren have tried to play Motherwell at their own game.

It has looked uncomfortable as they try to play out.

They need a plan B as they have put the Motherwell backline under no pressure at all.

  13. 99 problems for Buddies?published at 20:29 GMT 21 February

    HT: St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

    John Rankin
Former Hibernian & Dundee United midfielder on BBC Sportsound

St Mirren have so many problems, but how do they solve them?

There is an overload in the middle of the pitch.

And they just can't get close enough to Motherwell to do anything about it.

    HT: St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

I think, at this stage, St Mirren will be pleased to get in at just 2-0.

You might see a different St Mirren after half-time. You do need that as a manager sometimes, to get a team talk, do tactical changes and maybe change personnel.

  16. HALF-TIME St Mirren 0-2 Motherwellpublished at 20:22 GMT 21 February

Motherwell are 45 minutes away from a thoroughly convincing victory.

Elijah Just fired the visitors ahead early before Tawanda Maswanhise won and scored a penalty.

St Mirren will just be pleased to have kept the scoreline down to two given the balance of play.

  17. Postpublished at 45+3

    St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

Tawanda Maswanihse with a chance to make it three as we are deep in stoppage time.

However, the Motherwell forward delays his shot and a defender's toe inside the six-yard box directs it wide for a corner.

  18. St Mirren reprievepublished at 20:15 GMT 21 February

    St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

    John Rankin
Former Hibernian & Dundee United midfielder on BBC Sportsound

That's a big moment in the game.

If Gogic goes off there, the game is gone for St Mirren.

Good refereeing and a chance for St Mirren to get in at half time and see if they can turn this round.

  19. YELLOW CARD Gogic (St Mirren)published at 40mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

Calum Scott is being called to the monitor.

The referee jogs back and reverses his decision.

Yellow card for Alex Gogic instead of a red.

    Justice done.

  20. RED CARD Gogic (St Mirren)published at 37mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Motherwell

Motherwell continue to press and Alex Gogic is shown the red card for a tackle on Callum Slattery.

It looks like the St Mirren defender has stood on the Motherwell midfielder's foot.

That looks a tad harsh - and it's being checked by VAR.
