    However, the goal stands and Emmanuel Longelo has his goal.

    The evening goes from bad to worse for 10-man St Mirren as the winger is handed his sixth goal of the season.

    Emmanuel Longelo lashes the ball into the net from a difficult angle through the legs of goalkeeper Shamal George.

    Callum Slattery goes down off the ball and the Motherwell midfielder is holding his face.

    St Mirren defender Richard King is walking up the tunnel after being shown the red card.

    The TV replay suggests Slattery had a hold of King's shirt and the Jamaican took a swipe with his hand at his opponent in an attempt to release the grip.

    It doesn't look like there was much contact, but the red card stands!

    You see the frustration for Stephen Robinson.

    It’s four and a half minutes into the second half when he’s probably sat for 10 minutes at half-time drilling his team in what has to improve and the changes that need to be made.

    Motherwell are pouring forward towards the home penalty box, the ball breaks to Ibrahim Said and the forward's drive takes a deflection and squirms under goalkeeper Shamal George.

    I think, at this stage, St Mirren will be pleased to get in at just 2-0.

    You might see a different St Mirren after half-time. You do need that as a manager sometimes, to get a team talk, do tactical changes and maybe change personnel.

    Elijah Just fired the visitors ahead early before Tawanda Maswanhise won and scored a penalty.

    St Mirren will just be pleased to have kept the scoreline down to two given the balance of play.
