  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:19 GMT 18 March

Tottenham 2-1 Atletico Madrid (4-6 agg)

Almost another one for Tottenham. Xavi Simons plays it down the channel to Pedro Porro and he hits it first time with the outside of the boot.

It would've curled in, but Juan Musso does brilliantly to dive and push it away. Radu Dragusin then heads at the keeper soon afterwards.

Liverpool are firmly in the box seat here but one Galatasaray goal and the anxiety levels may rise ever so slightly.

Tottenham 2-1 Atletico Madrid (4-6 agg)

Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, shortly after Pedro Porro had done so, also gets a yellow card for speaking out of turn.

Cool heads are needed, there is still plenty of time for Tottenham to get the two goals they need.

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:17 GMT 18 March

    Liverpool 3-0 Galatasaray (3-1 agg)

Yep, Jeremie Frimpong is offside and he didn't need to be there.

Liverpool have smelt blood, and gone for it.

Jeremie Frimpong looks slightly offside. I think this one will be ruled out.

The 18-year-old curls home a third for Bayern Munich!

Luis Diaz feeds the ball through to Lennart Karl on the right side of the area and the teenage makes no mistake with a composed, left-footed finish.

Can Bayern break the record for the biggest Champions League aggregate win in history? The only need four more goals!

Ademola Lookman with a firm pushed hand into the chest of Radu Dragusin, with the Tottenham defender hitting the deck.

A booking for Lookman, who may have been thinking he may have seen red. Tottenham's Pedro Porro then needlessly talks himself into a yellow too.

That's one way to settle the nerves. Ugurcan Cakir has been impressive in the Galatasaray goal but even he has no answer to this Liverpool onslaught. Arne Slot's side are heading to the Champions League quarter-finals. Smiles all around Anfield and it's no less than Liverpool deserve.

Liverpool's shape, with Salah and Ekitike asked to play narrow and Arne Slot's side getting their width from their full-backs, is how they have pushed Galatasaray back, and it's how they got their second goal too.

It was never in doubt was it a European night at Anfield? A stinging shot on the half-volley from Mo Salah straight at the goalkeeper, Ugurcan Çakir parries it straight back out to Ryan Gravenberch.

Tottenham 2-1 Atletico Madrid (4-6 agg)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Spurs have been really good tonight - and the spirit is there as well judging by the way they have bounced back from the bitter blow of Atletico's goal.

They needed another goal very quickly, and that crisp strike from Xavi Simons is just the job.
