  1. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 27 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

SOUTHEND HAVE IT IN THE NET... but they don't score.

The referee blows his whistle for a foul on Wealdstone stopper Dante Baptiste as the Shrimpers send in a corner just before the net bulges.

  2. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Nathan Tshikuna muscles out the Southend defender to break into the box but the referee spots a foul to give a kick the other way.

    Much to Tshikuna's frustration.

It feels over these last few minutes Wealdstone have got more comfortable in the game.

They're starting to have some of the ball.

Southend are just rushing it at the moment, they need to get their foot on the ball.

  4. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Harry Cardwell is aggrieved after clashing with Wealdstone skipper Jack Cook on his route to goal.

He's asking for a free-kick in a great position but the referee judges there to have been no foul.

  5. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Dom Hutchinson's cross into the box looks like it will come to nothing with no Wealdstone team-mate to claim it but it still causes the Southend defence trouble.

The first two yellow shirts fail to deal with it and Gus Scott-Morriss can't shake his man before it ends up rolling out of play.

It was never a foul for me, never a penalty.

    The contact wasn't there.

  8. 'Southend fans making brilliant noise'published at 16:51 BST 17 May

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

    Dan George

The Southend fans to my right are making a brilliant noise as their side get off to a decent start.

They are spread out across all three tiers with a reported 22,000 plus tickets sold for this game.

The Shrimpers have looked sharp in these opening 10 minutes, that shot from Cardwell that hit the post was just inches away from being perfect.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Wealdstone's Micah Obiero takes a look at the referee after falling face down on the grass in the box but the referee is having none of it.

His side do appear to be shaking off the rust though. Remember, this is the first match they've played this month since the National League season ended on 25 April.

  10. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Wealdstone earn a free-kick to give themselves a chance to bring themselves into this match.

Shrimpers stopper Collin Andeng-Ndi is out to punch it away from his goal and it sends his side up for the counter.

It doesn't get all the way to a goal scoring opportunity though as Dylan Kadji cuts out the attack before it ventures too far into his defensive half.

  11. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Southend's James Golding drives forward and takes a punt from distance. He shoots well wide of goal though.

An interesting choice but the Shrimpers have started well so maybe he thought, 'why not?'

  12. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Wealdstone stopper Dante Baptiste isn't getting much reprieve.

He's now having to mop up Oliver Coker's shot after Leon Chambers-Parillon gets beyond Jack Cook.

  13. 'A brilliant start from Southend'published at 16:43 BST 17 May

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

    Paul Clark
Former Southend defender & manager on BBC Radio Essex

The Blue sea parted for Southend there.

It was a really good effort, it's a brilliant start from them.

They were so close to finding that opener.

  14. HITS THE POSTpublished at 7 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Gus Scott-Morriss threads the ball into Harry Cardwell, who is up for a one-v-one with the Wealdstone keeper.

He fires a low shot away but Dante Baptiste gets his fingertips to it, diverting the ball's trajectory so it clatters off the back post.

Good start from Southend, this. Luckily for Wealdstone their stopper has been equal to it.

  15. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Southend pick up a free-kick just outside the left of the box.

Oliver Coker steps up to deliver and curls it towards the back post but it's got too much on it and is out for a goal kick.

  16. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Southend 0-0 Wealdstone

Southend are the first to attack the box as Gus Scott-Morriss loops in a cross but it ends up in Wealdstone stopper Dante Baptiste's safe hands.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:33 BST 17 May

The music at Wembley has got everyone in the stands bouncing with anticipation but not everyone's hopes are going to be repaid.

Time to get this party started.

  20. Different cup, different outcome?published at 16:26 BST 17 May

    Southend v Wealdstone (16:30 BST)

Southend may have gotten the better of Wealdstone in their final match of the season but it's the Stones who have recent history of ending the Shrimpers' cup campaigns.

The two sides met in November for an FA Cup clash that saw Wealdstone progress with a solitary 45th minute goal.

Only one goal has separated the two sides across their past three meetings. Will it be so tight this time around?
