Southend's corner is stilled by the referee's whistle and the Wealdstone keeper is quick to send his team-mates on their way.

They burst up field until Micah Obiero takes aim but his effort is tame for the keeper to take into his gloves with relative ease.

Wealdstone's free-kick doesn't challenge the wall of yellow but Southend are feeling the heat at the moment.

They haven't been able to get through for a real pop at goal for quite a while now.

Looks like changes are imminent for the Shrimpers.

Wealdstone are smooth as they blitz up the field.

It's sent into Dylan Kadji in the box, who backheels it to Micah Obiero but a timely challenge from James Golding prevents him from being able to get a proper shot away.

Southend weave their way around the left side of the box but they take too much time to try and find a good position and end up having the ball stolen from them before they can let off a shot.

I'd like to see the press from Southend.

They can only do it if they do it as a side, not as individuals.

It was too comfortable for Wealdstone in the opening 45 minutes.

Wealdstone captain Jack Cook has handed his armband over to Deon Woodman as he takes a seat for the second half.

Junior Tiensia takes his place.

No goals in the FA Vase earlier this afternoon. No goals in this FA Trophy contest so far either.

I thought Wealdstone would suffer having a three week break, but they look the fresher.

Southend really hurt sides when playing at pace, whether it's because it's the end of the season I don't know, it's just been so slow.

Blues are probably fairly happy they've got into half-time at 0-0.

Big moments from both keepers keep it goalless at the break.

Wealdstone's Dante Baptiste was the first to make an impact, getting his fingertips on Harry Cardwell's low strike to deflect it onto the post.

Just before half-time, Collin Andeng-Ndi had his own moment to revel in after denying a stinging effort from Anthony Georgiou.

Southend started the better but Wealdstone felt the stronger by half-time.

An interesting second half awaits.

Wealdstone deliver a corner but it comes to nothing.

Collin has done brilliantly there.

It took a wicked deflection.

Just as you feel this game is losing it's early spark, Anthony Georgiou is striking with venom at the corner.

It's destined for the net but Southend stopper Collin Andeng-Ndi denies him with a smart save.

Southend's Leon Chambers-Parillon does fantastically well to evade Wealdstone's defences and works his way to the centre to let off a strike at distance.

He can't guide it on target and out it goes.

Wealdstone skipper Jack Cook lands himself into the bad books after his sliding tackle on Leon Chambers-Parillon earns him a yellow card.

Micah Obiero is found free in the box and manages to trick the Southend defender but not enough to arch his curling strike on target.

I'm surprised at the tempo Southend are playing at.

For me, they're playing far too slow and are letting Wealdstone come at them.

The referee is letting this game flow.

At both ends, players call for fouls just outside the box but he just waves them away.

The defences are holding firm limiting the real goalmouth action in the past 20 minutes or so.

Jack Bridge is doing some good defending for Southend but their opponents are definitely notching up the pressure now.

Everything seems to be going well for them.

Even as Harry Cardwell feels he's fouled by Nathan Tshikuna, instead of a free-kick he sees Wealdstone offered a throw-in.

Nathan Tshikuna tries his best to try and get sight of goal between the heavy crowd of yellow shirts.

He eventually just goes for it but he doesn't have the space to send his strike on target.
