Phil: Worried Spurs fan here. Slightly more solid at the back although still indiscipline...most worrying is that I'm not sure I can see us scoring! Hiding behind the sofa.

Harry: I think the best compliment I can give Spurs, is that neither team looks particularly the better currently. I do worry for Spurs in front of goal, they look a little lost.

  3. Postpublished at 15:01 BST 12 April

HT: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood is being put through his paces at half-time.

The New Zealand striker hasn't played since injuring his knee in October.

Could he come on and make the difference?

  4. 'Does De Zerbi stick with one point or go for three?'published at 14:59 BST 12 April

    HT: Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

Sunderland have been slightly the better side, Brobbey has had a few chances, Xhaka too, and they have looked more comfortable on the ball. Can I see a little improvement from Spurs? Yes I can. We will learn a lot more in the second half.

We will learn a lot more about De Zerbi too. He has to ask himself whether he sticks with a point or goes for three. I think he has to go for three.

JD: Says a lot about Newcastle's front line that Osula is starting ahead of nearly £150m worth of strikers. And he's arguably more effective.

Since the start of the 2023-24 season, Nottingham Forest defender Murillo has scored the joint-most own goals of any player in the Premier League (three - level with Marc Guehi and Konstantinos Mavropanos).

William Osula has scored in two of his past three Premier League appearances, after only scoring in two of his first 50 outings.

He is the second Danish player to score for Newcastle against Crystal Palace in the Premier League after Jon Dahl Tomasson in November 1997.

  8. Stalemate at Sunderlandpublished at 14:55 BST 12 April

    HT: Sunderland 0-0 Spurs

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stadium of Light

Not the greatest half of football but there have been moments.

Sunderland have had more chances, but that was a really big one for Dominic Solanke right on half-time.

Roberto de Zerbi will probably think it has been OK- no more than that, but at least Spurs have showed some fight and stuck at it.

Arron: Another reason for Neco Williams' Forest player of the season nomination. He's been an absolute machine! Anderson, Gibbs-White, Murillo get the attention but we'd be so worse off without Neco!

  10. Postpublished at 14:53 BST 12 April

    HT: Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Sunderland games have been goalless at half-time more often than any other teams in the Premier League this season (15).

  11. Postpublished at 14:51 BST 12 April

HT: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

    Dave Edwards
Former Wolves midfielder on 5 Sports Extra

It's been a brilliant 45 minutes of football. It is an important game at different ends of the table and both teams have engaged in that. It has been exciting, both teams have had good moments, periods of possession and chances.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:51 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Could be better, could be worse for Sunderland and Tottenham.

  13. Postpublished at 14:49 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

It's one of those ones where you think, how's Solanke not scored? The keeper has covered every angle so it's very hard to score.

  14. Postpublished at 14:49 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Big chance for Spurs at the end of this half.

Omar Alderete deflects a Spurs cross right into the path of Dominic Solanke, who is denied by some quick Robin Roefs reactions.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:49 BST 12 April

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Newcastle

A first half that came to life in the final 10 minutes.

And Newcastle will be very pleased to carry a slender lead into the break at Selhurst Park.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:48 BST 12 April

    Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

That'll do it for the first half.

Neco Williams cancelled out Murillo's own goal to keep this one finely balanced.

  17. Postpublished at 14:48 BST 12 April

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Newcastle

More good work from William Osula to win a free-kick in a dangerous position in the dying seconds of the first half.

After much deliberation, Lewis Hall takes it and Dean Henderson has to make a save at his near post to stop the shot from creeping in.

  18. 'Lovely moment for Kinsky'published at 14:48 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

It's a great chance for Brobbey. He does everything right, it's coming to him at an angle so he keeps the shot hard and low and goes to put it through the keeper. It's a lovely moment for Kinsky after all he's gone through.

  19. Postpublished at 14:48 BST 12 April

    Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

Omari Hutchinson's cross is clearly deflected behind by a Villa defender, yet the visitors are awarded a goal-kick.

    Beats me.

  20. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Good save from Antonin Kinsky, his first of the day, to get down low and keep out Brian Brobbey's close-range shot from a free-kick situaiton.
