  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:37 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

That's both Spurs centre-backs booked for fouling Brian Brobbey now. This time it's Micky van de Ven just outside of the box - although it feels like the Sunderland striker buys this one a bit as he backs into the Spurs man.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:37 BST 12 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

Crystal Palace finally test Aaron Ramsdale and the Newcastle goalkeeper comes up with not one, but two saves to keep the score level.

He makes a fairly routine save to deny Yeremy Pino's curling effort but his second is a brilliant reflex stop that keeps out Daniel Munoz's powerful effort on the rebound.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:36 BST 12 April

    Nottingham Forest 0-1 Aston Villa

That would have been a beautiful goal!

John McGinn finds Morgan Rogers' run into the box with a clever reverse pass, but the England man sees his first-time strike canon off the top of the crossbar.

  4. Postpublished at 14:35 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs defender Cristian Romero gets the ball in his own half and runs, and runs, and runs. He has options up with him but shoots himself and his effort is blocked.

Matz Sels is fine. The Forest plyers used the stoppage to receive some instructions from manger Vitor Pereira.

  6. It's not been a classicpublished at 14:34 BST 12 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

    Ciaran Kelly
BBC Sport reporter at Selhurst Park

    This game is strangely flat.

It has been every inch an April fixture between two sides in the bottom half who have made sweeping changes.

Newcastle United have had a lot more time to prepare for this match, and should be full of energy, but the visitors have yet to get going.

Defender Sven Botman booting the ball harmlessly out of play just there sums it up.

  7. 'Not a red card for me'published at 14:34 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

I think there is an arm to the face but it is whether it is deliberate or not. Brobbey is holding off and holding off Porro and then catches him. Is it a red card? Not for me. A little bit over strong but no more than that.

  8. 'Chances coming for Sunderland'published at 14:33 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

The chances are coming now for Sunderland. If anyone touches this one from Xhaka at all the keeper isn't getting anywhere near it. Same if he directs it an inch or two further to the right, it's in the corner.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:33 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey catches Pedro Porro in the face with his elbow while he was trying to hold the Spurs man off. Yellow card.

  10. Postpublished at 14:33 BST 12 April

    Nottingham Forest 0-1 Aston Villa

Aston Villa are having all of the ball as they look to cement their advantage before half-time.

A few key tackles and clearances from Forest keep the visitors at bay.

There's some bad news for Forest fans though - goalkeeper Matz Sels has gone down requiring treatment.

  11. Alderete 'plays ball before contact'published at 14:32 BST 12 April

Since his debut in August 2021, Cristian Romero has received more cards (36 yellow, four red) than any other defender in the Premier League.

Only Lewis Dunk and Yerson Mosquera (both 10) have been cautioned more times than the Argentine this season (nine).

  15. Postpublished at 14:29 BST 12 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

Sven Botman, donning a protective mask today, brings down Brennan Johnson and concedes a free-kick.

Palace have players queuing in the box but Johnson's set-piece delivery is beyond all of them and goes behind harmlessly for a Newcastle goal-kick.

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Sunderland go close to scoring from the resulting free-kick but Nordi Mukiele nods wide at the back post.

  17. 'Centre half now walking a tightrope'published at 14:28 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

You do want your players to be committed, and Romero certainly was there. He was coming in from behind so there is no doubt the referee has to give a free-kick and a yellow card. Now your centre half is walking a tightrope.

That's a good point. By the referee pointing to the spot, it ultimately denied Spurs a corner.

Stuart: Kolo Muani appealed for a corner, not a penalty, so that surely backs up the VAR call!

Matt: If it's no penalty then it should be a corner to Spurs. Why is he giving a drop ball?

Jon: Spurs fan here - obviously not a pen, Kolo Muani wasn’t even appealing for one! He wanted the corner.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:28 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero hacks down Brian Brobbey and gets a yellow card.
