  1. Celtic and Rangers get their men in late deadline day scramblepublished at 00:29 GMT 3 February

Right team, that'll do us for tonight. There's some unfinished business, but the main deals are done. Let's have a swatch at them.

There were 16 arrivals in the Premiership, with Celtic, Dundee and Hibs all making three signings.

Rangers signed striker Ryan Naderi on a long-term contract from the German third division, while Aberdeen signed Dennis Geiger from Hoffenheim on loan. We hear he's good on the counter.

Motherwell kept hold of Tawanda Maswanhise and even got Stephen Welsh back on loan from Celtic, who signed striker Junior Adamu, centre-back Benjamin Arthur, and winger Joel Mvuka - all on loan.

They also ensured Arne Engels would go nowhere, after turning down a reported £25m from Nottingham Forest.

And with that, the winter transfer window comes to an end. Goodnight.

  2. Mvuka makes it six winter additions for Celticpublished at 00:18 GMT 3 February

There you have it, Joel Mvuka is over the line at Celtic after a lengthy delay.

Just a loan, but with an option to buy the 22-year-old Norway youth cap.

Time for bed, but before you go, let us know your thoughts.

  3. Celtic burn the midnight oilpublished at 00:16 GMT 3 February

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Sport Scotland

Nine minutes past midnight and that much mooted move for Norwegian winger Joel Mvuka from Lorient to Celtic has gone through.

It's a loan until the end of the season from the Ligue 1 side with Celtic "having an option to buy".

And with that, we are done for the night and Celtic are seemingly done for this transfer window.

Unless, of course, as with Kelechi Iheanacho last time out, there is a free agent in the wings?

It's been a long old night but the champions may feel they got there in the end. Loan deals, however: no permanent moves in this window.

Julian Araujo, Tomas Cvancara, Junior Adamu, Benjamin Arthur and Joel Mvuka. Manager Martin O'Neill asked for some help. He has three deadline day recruits to add to his mix.

Biggest story of the Celtic day? Rejecting a deal which we're told could have risen to £25m for midfielder Arne Engels.

  4. 'The quietest, most relaxing window I can remember'published at 00:13 GMT 3 February

We asked you Motherwell fans for your views on the windows. There wasn't a lot of activity - but maybe that's just want you wanted?

Doug: Great window for a Well fan - no panic buys, no selling off talent and ended the not-so-successfull loans from the summer. Add to that the return of Welsh and the potential of big Bjorgolfsson and it's been the quietest, most relaxing window I can remember!

Annie: A fantastic window for Motherwell. We stuck to our guns and hung onto JT [Maswanhise] , despite us being a 'diddy club'. Welsh's return only makes it better. I think this is the first time I've sat dreading deadline day incase we lose players! Bring on the remainder of the season.

Stuart: Congratulations Motherwell FC. You have shown ambition and rewarded the fans. A great transfer window. You have kept our talent when lesser clubs may have grabbed the cash. Onwards and upwards!

  5. One piece left in the Celtic jigsaw?published at 00:09 GMT 3 February

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Sport Scotland

Right, with confirmation that Stephen Welsh has indeed re-joined Motherwell on loan for the rest of the season, there's only one piece missing in the predicted Celtic signing jigsaw.

After Junior Adamu came in on loan from Freiburg, joined on loan from Brentford by Benjamin Arthur, there's the little matter of the protracted Joel Mvuka move from Lorient.

Will we hear soon that the Norwegian winger will indeed be continuing his career in Scotland?

  6. Naderi nice to meet you!published at 00:01 GMT 3 February

On the stroke of midnight, Rangers have their man as Ryan Naderi becomes the fourth signing of Danny Rohl's first transfer window in charge.

The big striker has hit eight goals for Hansa Rostock in the 3. Liga in Germany this season, and becomes the division's most expensive departure ever.

Given Rangers' lack of goals from their striking options - James Tavernier and Emmanuel Fernandez have scored more between them this season - a new bagsman was one of their main priorities.

Rohl will be hoping the 22-year-old can soothe his striking woes.

    Almost.

  8. Postpublished at 23:56 GMT 2 February

Is that the perfect window for Motherwell?

They've kept hold of Tawanda Maswanhise and eventually got Stephen Welsh back in claret and amber.

What do you think, Well fans? Get involved.

  9. Welsh makes return to Motherwellpublished at 23:53 GMT 2 February

The news Motherwell fans have been waiting a long, long time for.

Stephen Welsh is back at Fir Park for the second half of the season.

His recall to Celtic was met with misery by the Motherwell faithful, who lived in the hope that Welsh would not go elsewhere.

When he started against Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup, that meant he only had two options - stay at Celtic or come back to Motherwell.

With the signing of Benjamin Arthur, it felt like a matter of time.

    More news for Hibs fans.

Record signing Thibault Klidje has joined Danish Superliga side Randers FC on loan for the rest of the season.

The Togo international scored just four goals in 27 games.

And with that, this window for Hibs is done and dusted.

The midfielder joins Jayden Carbon and Uche Ikpeazu at the Staggies.

  13. 'Sceptical to say the least' about Rangers' windowpublished at 23:32 GMT 2 February

Ahead of an imminent confirmation from Rangers, let's get some views from you Rangers fans on the activity so far.

Scott: Don’t think this has been a bad window for Rangers. Andreas Skov Olsen is obviously the marquee signing but can he get up to speed given his limited playing time? The damage was done with Russell Martin and his signings (or Stewart and Thelwell’s).

Stewart: Rangers' lack of quality signings has cost them any chance they had on winning the league. No ambition.

Stuart: If we have signed Naderi on a permanent and he can hit the ground running, then it’s been a good window. Many wanted another midfielder but think we can manage with what we have. Striker was always the priority.

Gary: We can wait until the summer for a box-office striker. Rangers will still win the league as there's goals all over that team. I wish we could afford the magnificent Mikey Moore permanently.

G: The new striker from the third tier in Germany for a record fee? Sceptical to say the least.

  14. Naderi becomes latest Rangers signingpublished at 23:23 GMT 2 February

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

It’s understood Rangers have now agreed a permanent deal for striker Ryan Naderi, who will join after the Ibrox club made an improved offer for the 22-year-old to come in immediately.

Initially Rangers were looking for the player to join in the summer but after talks with Hansa Rostock a new agreement was reached and, with a title to play for, club management feels this was the best way to give everyone the best opportunity for success.

I was out by about fifteen minutes.

With Benjamin Arthur's loan from Brentford to Celtic confirmed, what now for Stephen Welsh?

I'm expecting him to head back to Motherwell on loan, if the necessary paperwork has been lodged quickly enough...

  17. And I say 'Hey!'published at 23:13 GMT 2 February

What a wonderful kind of day... for Celtic fans.

They've captured young Brentford centre-back Benjamin Arthur on loan for the rest of the season.

Just 20 years-old, the Bees spent close to £1m on him when they signed him from Peterborough's academy in 2023.

Promoted to the first-team this season, he signed a six-year-contract extension at the start of the campaign and has three first-team appearances to date.

It remains to be seen if he'll be a Jason Denayer or a Jahmai Simpson-Pusey.

And, Motherwell fans, you know what that means...

  18. Celtic fans impatiently waitpublished at 23:12 GMT 2 February

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Sport Scotland

So.. the window is well and truly shut but I still think there will be a couple of announcements from the Celtic media team, pulling another late one over there at Parkhead.

We await confirmation of the loan from Brentford of central defender Benjamin Arthur (and whether that allows Stephen Welsh to head back to Motherwell on loan).

Expecting confirmation too that winger Joel Mvuka's on-off-back on again move from Lorient has gone through in some form.

I'm going for 11.25pm for Celtic to post something...

  19. We want to know what you think, Rangers fanspublished at 23:10 GMT 2 February

Rangers fans, we're still waiting on confirmation of striker Ryan Naderi's move to Ibrox, so don't give up hope.

Generally, what have you made of the winter window? Have you been impressed with Danny Rohl's dealings?

    Get involved!

In fact, something has just through the fax machine...

  20. Garananga makes it three at Easter Roadpublished at 23:06 GMT 2 February

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

Hibs kept us waiting but Zimbabwean international defender Munashe Garananga comes in on loan from FC Copenhagen.

He's had quite the career, playing in South Africa, Belarus, Transnistria, Belgium and Denmark. I wonder how the Port of Leith will compare.

Copenhagen splashed €4m on him a little over a year ago, and he made four Champions League appearances earlier in the season.

In the league though, he only started four games. An interesting one.
