  1. CLOSE!published at 21 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

Sonny Carey's long throw from the left is hooked away but returned back to him to whip an inviting cross into the mixer where Lyndon Dykes arches his neck to power a header past the near post, when a glancing flick towards the back stick was surely the way to go.

So many chances in this opening half of the first-half.

  2. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

Bosun Lawal's positive break down the right earns Stoke a corner but Aaron Cresswell gets too much on the delivery and it sails beyond the far post, with a horde of six-footers in the middle looking unimpressed.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:05 GMT 11 February

    Grimsby 0-0 Accrington

A point blank save from Accrington goalkeeper Oliver Wright denies Grimsby.

Once again it all came from a corner as the ball came in and fell straight to Sellars-Fleming who hit the ball on the half-volley, it took a deflection before reaching the goalkeeper who did well to keep it out.

  4. 'Best move by Stoke so far'published at 20:03 GMT 11 February

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

    Angela Smith
    BBC Radio Stoke

It's the best move from Stoke so far, but he really should have scored that.

It was the first time Stoke have looked like they're in charge of any move in the game.

They look like they're starting to believe.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 17 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

    What a move from Stoke.

Lamine Cisse's lovely flick on the edge of the box from Bosun Lawal's fizzed pass sends Jesurun Rak-Sakyi clear in the box, he manages to bring the ball under his spell but his powerful shot on the stretch beats Thomas Kaminski but cannons away off the face of the crossbar.

The Palace loanee would have loved that on his return to his former club.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:01 GMT 11 February

    Swindon 0-0 Newport

We are under way at the County Ground...

A huge night for both sides that could have big implications for both promotion and relegation battles.

  7. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

Another chance for Charlton as Harry Clarke returns the ball into the Potters box after a set-piece was only half-cleared but Kayne Ramsay's downward header at the back stick is straight at keeper Tommy Simkin.

Stoke's defence is still at sixes and sevens from high balls though.

  8. 'Grimsby have started well'published at 20:00 GMT 11 February

    Grimsby 0-0 Accrington

    Gary Croft
Former Grimsby defender on BBC Radio Humberside

I think Grimsby have started well, they're on the front foot.

Accrington will have to do well to get anything forward because Grimsby are pressing really well.

  9. Big game for both ends of League Twopublished at 19:58 GMT 11 February

    Swindon v Newport (20:00 GMT)

    Chris Wathan
BBC Sport Wales at the County Ground

Not long before tonight's 8pm kick-off gets going, a fixture that has significance in the promotion and relegation battles.

Swindon - who would jump from fourth to second with a win - have made four changes from the side that eased past Oldham 3-0 at the weekend. It's quite in keeping with Ian Holloway's rotation this season and has seen a first start for former Cardiff City winger Junior Hoilett, who grabbed an assist from the bench in Saturday's win here.

It's an attacking line up, which will be worrying news for Newport who who have the worst defensive record in the division. It explains a little why they're three points from safety.

On top of that, Christian Fuchs is without experienced on-loan defender Ryan Delaney against his parent club. He's one of two changes, which include a first start for forward Lewis Jamieson who signed from second-tier US side Sacramento Republic last month.

  10. CLOSE!published at 11 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

    Charlton should really be ahead,

From the resulting corner Sonny Carey swings in a deep cross which is perfect for Lloyd Jones at the far post but his cushioned volley, in plenty of space, four yards out, goes the wrong side of the post.

Head in hands for the big defender.

    Stoke are living dangerously, however...

  11. CLOSE!published at 9 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

Kayne Ramsay's long ball over the top draws Stoke keeper Tommy Simkin off his line to close down Lyndon Dykes but the Scotland forward gets to it first and lobs the ball goalwards, only for the backtracking Ashley Phillips to head away from his own goalmouth.

  12. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

I know most of you were probably having negative thoughts about this fixture, but it's been a really bright start with positive play at both ends.

Let's hope it continues this way...

  13. 'We got away with one'published at 19:52 GMT 11 February

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

    Angela Smith
    BBC Radio Stoke

We got away with one there because Tommy Simkin was nowhere near that header, it was a free header that went unchallenged.

Stoke have got to get a hold of things in the midfield, it looks a bit uncertain at the moment.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 6 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

How has that not gone in?

Sony Carey's inswinging corner is brilliant and is met by an absolutely booming header from Harry Clarke which nearly breaks the underside of the crossbar before bouncing back out and being cleared by the Potters.

  15. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

Sonny Carey picks the ball up 25 yards from the Potters goal and makes space to fire in a shot which is blocked by Stephen Nzonzi, who looks like he hurt himself in the process.

The 37-year-old eventually gets back to his feet and will have to help defend a corner.

  16. CLOSE!published at 19:50 GMT 11 February

    Grimsby 0-0 Accrington

A double chance very early on for the home side as the latest of a flurry of corners for Grimsby fell to the head of Tryell Sellars-Flemming only a few yards out, but the 20-year-old couldn't keep his effort down.

  17. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

Bright stuff from Stoke on the counter with some one-touch passing before the ball is spread left for Sorba Thomas to whip a dangerous ball towards the six-yard box, though it's cleared by Kayne Ramsay.

  18. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

A Sonny Carey long throw from the Addicks left is not well cleared by the visitors and the ball is looped back into the mixer where it drops to Conor Coady, beyond the far post, who fires a rising first time volley back across goal but wide of the far post.

He's making a bright start to life at Charlton.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

    Charlton 0-0 Stoke

We're off and running at The Valley.

Charlton in their familiar red and white kit while Stoke are in yellow and black.

Can the Potters brighten up a miserable night south of the river?

  20. Teams are outpublished at 19:43 GMT 11 February

    #bbcfootball

The players have emerged into a filthy South East London night at The Valley, and I expect it's not much better at Blundell Park where Grimsby and Accrington meet too.

Kick-off is moments away in those two games but we have another 15 minutes to wait before the other League Two game, between Swindon and Newport, gets under way at the County Ground.

Big night in two divisions, nearly time to let the drama unfold...
