    Stevenage 0-0 Reading

Stevenage have made a sharp start.

Boro captain Carl Piergianni fires over the bar in the opening minute to get the shot clock started before Matty Phillips is robbing Jeriel Dorssett of possession.

Phillips can't get his subsequent cross through to his team-mate but it's clear Stevenage are in the mood to be in the goals this afternoon.

    Lincoln 0-0 Rotherham

Ex-Rotherham manager on BBC Radio Sheffield

Rotherham are a little bit static in front of their defence, especially in that area just in front of the penalty area, it feels like a goal is coming.

    Bromley 0-0 Colchester

Table-topping Bromley have made two changes from the side that beat Newport County. Goalscorer Corey Whitely starts this afternoon, as does Ashley Charles.

As for Colchester, Danny Cowley makes four changes from the narrow defeat by MK Dons at the weekend.

There is a welcome return for Ellis Iandolo as Teddy Bishop, Jack Payne and Jaden Williams also come into the side, with Rob Hunt, Frankie Terry, Finley Barbrook and Samson Tovide dropping out.

Time to take a look at what else is on the agenda in League Two today...

Swindon will be buoyed going into today's clash at Tranmere after they picked up their first win in five at Gillingham last time out. The Robins sit sixth in the table and three points adrift the top three.

Grimsby are just about hanging in the play-off places in seventh on goal difference. The Mariners will be hoping to make it two wins in two when they welcome bottom side Barrow who have no wins in their past seven.

Chesterfield will be looking to bounce back today when they travel to Accrington. Paul Cook's side are level on points with Grimsby having missed their chance to move into the play-off positions after their 3-0 home defeat to Oldham on Tuesday.

And towards the foot of the table, Harrogate will be aiming to go a step further to boost their survival hopes, but face a tough task when they take on an play-off hopefuls Oldham who are unbeaten in their past eight games.

Crawley, with no league wins in nine, and Newport are just a point adrift of the drop zone with the Red Devils making the journey to Fleetwood and the Exiles travelling to Darren Byfield's Walsall who has taken four points from his first two games in charge. It was announced earlier this week that Byfield will remain as interim head coach until the end of the season after the sacking of Mat Sadler.

  7. Magpies face Robins in League Two tusslepublished at 14:52 GMT 21 March

Notts County v Cheltenham (15:00 GMT)

Notts County's inconsistent form of late has seen their automatic promotion hopes stutter somewhat.

Three defeats from five will have unnerved some Magpies fans, but a 4-0 thumping of Accrington Stanley in midweek and Martin Paterson's side look to be in a strong position all of a sudden with nine matches remaining - sitting just two points outside of the top three.

The first of those nine games comes against a Cheltenham side who are unbeaten in their past eight matches, easing the Robins away from a potential League Two relegation battle.

Now 12 points clear of trouble, Town could be forgiven for having an eye on their summer holidays - but why throw away your best league form of the season, especially after winning both their previous two league visits to Meadow Park.

  8. Ravens reaching for promotionpublished at 14:50 GMT 21 March

    Bromley v Colchester (15:00 GMT)

What a season it has been for Bromley.

The Ravens remain the only side across England's top four divisions unbeaten at home this season and have now gone 20 matches without defeat since 29 November.

Their last loss - a 3-1 defeat by Walsall - must feel light-years ago, for both clubs.

Today, they host a mid-table Colchester outfit that swept aside Barnet 4-1 in February, and are going for their first back-to-back league wins against sides from London for the first time since November 2020.

Six points off the play-offs, Danny Cowley's men still have an outside chance of making it into the top-seven, but can not afford many more slip-ups after suffering a narrow defeat at promotion hopefuls MK Dons on Wednesday night.

Let's take a delve into what else is happening today in League One, shall we...

Third-placed Bolton, who stumbled in their quest for a top two finish after their goalless draw against Doncaster in the week, will be hoping to close the 10-point gap on second spot at bottom of the table Port Vale. The Trotters are unbeaten in their past 13 league games but that draw on Tuesday was their fifth in seven games and 15th of the season. But boss Steven Schumacher is remaining defiant of their chances of an automatic promotion spot.

Bradford sit just a point behind Bolton in fourth and will look to keep up the pace when they they make the trip to Burton. Graham Alexander's side's form on the road is not great, however, having lost eight of their past 10 away from home. Meanwhile the Brewers can claim a first league double over the Bantams today after winning the reverse fixture 2-1 back in November.

Huddersfield, who are a point adrift of the play-off places, are in action too as the Terriers make the long journey down to Plymouth, who themselves are two points off the play-offs in 10th and unbeaten in four.

At the other end of the table, both Exeter and Wigan are just a point from safety and face off at the Brick Community Stadium in a huge game at the bottom end of League One as Wigan boss Gary Caldwell prepares to face his former employers.

The Grecians, who sit 19th and a place above the Latics only on goal difference, are on a wretched run of form, with Matt Taylor's side not winning a game in their past 12 outings, losing their past four on the bounce. Does that unwanted streak end today?

  10. Stevenage hope to break through Royals for play-off spotpublished at 14:44 GMT 21 March

    Stevenage v Reading (15:00 GMT)

If you are a fan of stats, here's one that'll please a few Reading fans.

Of their five previous league matches against each other, Stevenage have not once claimed victory over the Royals (D2 L3). To add insult to injury, Boro have also failed to score in three of those matches.

But today's showdown in Hertfordshire will mean more than just breaking the duck for the home side.

Claim victory here and not only could the hosts sail into sixth spot (depending on how things go for Huddersfield Town at Plymouth), but they would also be usurping their visitors from that very position.

  11. Clark confident he can save the Millerspublished at 14:41 GMT 21 March

    Lincoln v Rotherham (15:00 GMT)

This afternoon marks a new era for Rotherham with new boss Lee Clark set to take his first game at the helm - and they really need a turn in fate.

The Millers are winless in four league games (D2 L2) to find themselves to leave themselves six points deep into the relegation zone.

The task will not be easy for Clark - especially given he has to make the trip to the dominant league leaders Lincoln City for his first foray as Rotherham's head honcho - but it's the challenge that has drew him out of retirement. That, and his own self-belief.

"What would be the point in coming in for nine games if I didn't believe I could do it? Just to be a football manager again? I didn't need that," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I looked at the group, and what could be done, and I believe we can get the job done.

"Is it going to be easy? Absolutely not, but I certainly wouldn't be sat here if I didn't think there was a good opportunity to stay in the division."

Read more from Clark's first press conference as Rotherham boss here.

    MK Dons 1-3 Barnet

Barnet come from behind to pick up an impressive three points at Stadium MK.

Goals from Danny Collinge, Kabongo Tshimanga and Idris Kanu cancel out Jon Mellish's opener to see the Bees move up to 10th in League Two and a two points off the play-off positions.

MK Dons did have a chance to get back into the game at 3-1 only for Rushian Hepburn-Murphy to see his penalty saved meaning their 14-game unbeaten run comes to an end as Paul Warne's side miss their opportunity to go top of the table ahead of the 15:00 GMT games.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 GMT 21 March

    Luton 1-1 Stockport

A riveting game between two promotion-chasers ends with a goal apiece.

Stockport came out fighting in the second half but couldn't find a way through until Ollie Norwood curled in a magnificent free-kick to seal an equaliser for his side.

But a point won't have either side too thrilled.

For Luton, they could see their climb to the play-off places made harder having led much of the contest. But for Stockport, they might see their spot in the top six swiped.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 GMT 21 March

    Cambridge United 1-0 Salford

Full-time and what a lunchtime it has been for Cambridge United!

They have closed the gap on second-placed MK Dons to two points with a game in hand.

James Gibbons' header four minutes after half-time has earned the U's all three points as their wonderful home record continues.

"We're off to Leicester" cheer the Cambridge fans. It's a little premature, given the Foxes are two divisions above them, but you can forgive them for their exuberance as they extend their unbeaten run to nine matches.

  17. Postpublished at 14:25 GMT 21 March

    MK Dons 1-3 Barnet

We're into nine minutes of added time.

Barnet are on their way to a cracking victory unless MK Dons pull something out of the bag.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:24 GMT 21 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Blackpool

For all of Cardiff high possession and attempts, the nets remain untouched to offer up a share of the spoils.

The Bluebirds had multiple attempts at goal and kept their own half quiet but Blackpool's defending came up trumps, with the hosts lacking the magic needed to pierce the net.

The second placed side suffer another game without a goal that could see league leaders Lincoln City pull even further ahead.

But the Tangerines get closer to escaping the bottom three with a point some may not have seen coming.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:24 GMT 21 March

    Cardiff 0-0 Blackpool

This is some effort from Blackpool to keep this point.

Cardiff win a corner and it's nodded at goal at point-blank range but Bailey Peacock-Farrell's gloves come to the rescue.

  20. Postpublished at 14:22 GMT 21 March

    Luton 1-1 Stockport

There's seven more minutes to play at Kenilworth.

Enough time for a winner, I say.
