    Norwich 0-1 Ipswich

BOOOOOS rain down around Carrow Road.

Ipswich sub Marcelino Nunez is out to warm up, that'll be why.

Two years ago this week he was patting the Norwich badge after scoring the only goal in this fixture at Carrow Road. Now he's crossed the divide and the only badge he's patting is an Ipswich one.

He's quite the character, as we saw during and after the reverse fixture in October.

    QPR 0-0 Bristol City

Bristol City have made the stronger start at Loftus Road.

Mark Sykes' tame effort was parried away by QPR stopper Joe Walsh in the game's first shot on target.

The Rs, who are without captain Jimmy Dunne today were happy to let their visitors have the ball in the early stages.

They have a big boost in the form of Rumarn Burrell on the bench.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:47 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-1 Ipswich

Leif Davis curls a glorious free-kick in from deep on the Ipswich left and George Hirst escapes his marker to plant a firm header towards goal from eight yards out but Vlad Kovacevic dives to his left to parry it away.

A yard closer to the post and that might have been 2-0.

The subsequent corner eventually drops to Jaden Philogene in the box but he can only lash wildly off-target to jeers from the grump home fans.

  4. Carrow Road went silentpublished at 12:45 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-1 Ipswich

    Glenn Speller
BBC Sport England at Carrow Road

That penalty decision happened in slow motion with referee Anthony Backhouse not interested but clearly got a message in his ear from his assistant.

Carrow Road went silent momentarily until the Ipswich fans realised the official was pointing to the spot.

That really is one to discuss at the end of the game - VAR in the Championship anyone?

  5. Postpublished at 12:45 BST 11 April

    Coventry 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Brandon Thomas-Asante gets to the byline for the first time and his whipped cross is a good one but Wednesday keeper Pierce Charles makes a confident catch.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:45 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-1 Ipswich

Anis Mehmeti has picked up a caution in the aftermath of that, whether it's for something he said or the celebrations it's not clear.

Long time on a yellow in a derby, though.

  7. 'It's an excellent penalty'published at 12:44 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-1 Ipswich

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

It's an excellent penalty, he sends the goalkeeper the completely wrong way and even then it's right in the corner, even if the keeper guesses the right way I don't think he gets near that from Jaden Philogene.

It shouldn't have been a penalty in my opinion, the Norwich player's eyes were on the ball, Jack Taylor came from behind almost, I think it's completely and utterly accidental.

  8. CLOSE!published at 12:44 BST 11 April

    Coventry 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Jamal Lowe hits a shot inside the box but a Coventry player gets his head on it otherwise that would have been 1-0 Wednesday! Carl Rushworth looked beaten.

It's been a sloppy start by Coventry to say the very least.

  9. goal

GOAL: Norwich 0-1 Ipswichpublished at 12:41 BST 11 April

    Jaden Philogene (11 mins, pen)

Jaden Philogene celebrates scoringImage source, PA

    Hugely controversial.

Jaden Philogene, cool as you like, strokes the visitors ahead from the spot.

George Hirst hands the ball over to the recalled Philogene who dances through his run-up before sending Vlad Kovacevic the wrong way to find the bottom right corner.

Advantage to the automatic promotion chasers and their 3,000 travelling fans are in full voice.

  10. CLOSE!published at 12:41 BST 11 April

    Coventry 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    What an escape for Coventry.

Sky Blues keeper Carl Rushworth is caught dallying on the ball inside his own box and Jerry Yates hunts him down, getting a foot to the ball, but somehow Rushworth gets away with it with a lucky ricochet. He is a lucky boy.

At the other end, Jack Rudoni tries a right-footed snap shot but gets it all wrong and Pierce Charles easily gathers.

  11. PENALTY TO IPSWICHpublished at 12:40 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

After a very long delay... Town have a penalty after Jack Taylor seems to pinch the ball off the toe of Anis Slimane.

Looks soft. No VAR. Slimane chested the ball up in his box before attempting to hack clear but Taylor had nipped in from behind him to poke the ball away and crashes dramatically to the deck as Slimane's follow-through catches him, just.

Anthony Backhouse initially waved play-on but after a few seconds he brings play back and points at the spot.

  12. Postpublished at 12:39 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

Sam Field a touch fortunate to escape without a caution after scything down Anis Mehmeti as he spun away from him in the City half.

Anthony Backhouse keen to keep things flowing and doesn't want to set a marker inside eight minutes, it would appear.

  13. CLOSE!published at 12:38 BST 11 April

    Coventry 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Jack Rudoni earns a free-kick and tries to catch out Wednesday keeper Pierce Charles at his near post with a whipped effort but it only ripples the side-netting.

  14. Postpublished at 12:38 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

Christian Walton will feel far less good about this one.

He decides early to race out to the edge of his box to try and claim an angled ball in from Kenny McLean on halfway but can't get near it and it needs his defence to sweep up the loose ball behind him and clear their lines.

    Coventry 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

The sun is shining at the CBS with the visiting supporters in fine voice at the beginning of this one.

Sheffield Wednesday have sold out their away allocation despite their relegation back on 22 February.

Fair play to each and every Wednesdayite who has made the trip to the Midlands for this lunchtime kick-off.

  17. Postpublished at 12:35 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

Jack Stacey whips a cross in from deep on the Norwich right but Town keeper Christian Walton is able to claim the high ball, despite the slippery conditions, and will likely feel much better for doing so.

    Coventry 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

While a win all but sends us up, it feels anti-climatic having to wait until after Boro have played to see where we stand. Personally, I’d rather watch us confirm promotion with a point against Blackburn next Friday.

These two have been going at it in the English Football League since 1946 (a 5-0 win for Norwich in case you were wondering) and there is plenty riding on today's game.

Ipswich are chasing the automatic promotion places while Norwich want to regain the bragging rights as well as keep alive those slim play-off hopes.

  20. Postpublished at 12:33 BST 11 April

    Norwich 0-0 Ipswich

We kicked-off a moment behind schedule at a slightly soggy Carrow Road.

It's done nothing to dampen the atmosphere, however.

Anthony Backhouse is the man in the middle today, and is sure to have a busy afternoon.

Norwich begin with a break down the left but Ali Ahmed's square pass is hacked away from the lurking Kenny McLean just outside the box.
