You have to give credit to Newcastle for the way they've affected the game, it's not been pretty at times, they've gone long and direct and caused problems.

From a Man Utd point of view, Ramsdale has been very under-used in this second half.

Manchester United have not yet taken advantage of the extra man in this half. They have been pretty sluggish and give away a free-kick just outside the box. Sandro Tonali takes, curling it into the dangerzone and takes a touch off a Manchester United player and goes behind for a corner.

Couple of changes for Manchester United now as Manuel Ugarte is on for Luke Shaw while Diogo Dalot replaces Casemiro.

Fantastic ball by Bruno Fernandes into the box and Bryan Mbeumo is onto it but he turns away from goal and then lifts the ball across the face of goal.

Arsenal can keep playing badly and winning all they like. It's the others that are faltering. Manchester City are faltering. And you just look at this Arsenal side and how they go about winning games, they manage to just grind out results and that's all they've done tonight.

They've had a stroke of good fortune. There's not one player that can turn around and say they had a good game, except maybe Hincapie and maybe one or two others defensively.

They don't care, they won.

Newcastle win their first corner of the game as Joe Willock's cross is deflected behind by Kobbie Mainoo.

The ball is sent into the box but Bryan Mbeumo clears.

They've got Elanga and Gordon as a front two this second half, which is pushing the Man Utd back four and Casemiro deeper. Newcastle with 10 men have been the dominant side this half.

It's all over Villa Park. Three big points for Chelsea.

It's good from Newcastle, they are showing attacking intent. You can see what Howe wants to do, he feels there is still something here for Newcastle and the best way to get that is by playing on the front foot.

This has been a poor performance so far from Manchester United.

They are fortunate to be both level and playing against 10 men, so the actual game situation favours them.

But Amad Diallo is warming up.

I suspect Michael Carrick is tempted to bring the Ivorian on to run at the Newcastle defence.

First shot of the second half goes Newcastle's way as Anthony Gordon tries his luck with a low effort but it is quite tame and an easy scoop up for Senne Lammens.

Arsenal have beaten Brighton 1-0 at Amex Stadium, so Manchester City are now seven points behind the league leaders.

Nottingham Forest remain 17th in the table on goal difference, as West Ham beat Fulham 1-0.

Forest clear the final kick of the game off the goal-line!

Pretty quiet start to the second half. The tactical tweak by Newcastle means that, at the moment, they don't look to be a man down.
