Rayan Cherki looks to go one better than Bernardo Silva a moment earlier as he turns a defender inside out, but he blazes over from just inside the area. Should be hitting the target there.

VAR needs to go. The system is not fit for purpose. It is there to correct mistakes not to give decisions based on toenails being in front of one another. If this is the future, what is the point in having a referee!

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Manchester United reporter at St James' Park

Yesterday, Michael Carrick said he thought the incidents of 'grappling' had gone too far in the Premier League but said once one team gets away with it, everyone does it.

It was interesting to see Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw double up on Dan Burn just then.

Shaw was right behind Burn, trapping him in a tight space Yoro eased him into.

Shaw ended up holding Burn, which is how he got caught as the Newcastle man tries to get free.

No team is innocent of this. What the authorities can do about it isn't clear as quite often, the attacking players initiate the contact.
