The front three for North End have been at it this afternoon.

It's a well-deserved two-goal lead on what is going to be an important afternoon for Preston.

Swansea have won just one of their last 14 league trips to Stoke and trail going into the second half.

They have the lowest xG in the division, but looked far more threatening than that on the evidence of the first period.

Both sides unchanged for the second 45.

I don't think there's much wrong here, it's just about winning the mental and physical battle. I think we have defended well.

I think the penalty save lifted them throughout the rest of the half. When you start getting things go your way you start getting yourself on the right path and that's what's happened with Norwich.

It was a really poor goal to give away, we can't keep conceding these poor goals.

Both sides have pressed very hard, particularly in the early stages. Oxford came back into things after conceding.

A decent 45 minutes of Championship football.

The main talking point will be that Vladan Kovacevic penalty save to deny Southampton's Adam Armstrong while the visitors also struck the bar with a Leo Scienza free kick in the opening seconds.

But Norwich have played some good stuff without having someone to stick the ball in the net with both Jovon Makama and Amankwah Forson lacking composure in front of goal.

Well, what an entertaining half for the neutral.

Almost 20 shots between the two sides and 11 corners. End-to-end stuff but it's Preston who lead at the break as Jordan Storey's header separates the two sides.

Oxford finished the first half strongly. Can they fight back when they return for the second half?
