That did not take long - Sporting complete the turnaround!

It is Maxi Araujo, who has been lively all evening, who scores the all-important goal for the home side - a low first-time effort that beats goalkeeper Nikita Haikin.

Have Bodo/Glimt got anything left in their tanks to find a way back? On the evidence so far, you would highly doubt it.

As a Chelsea fan, I think we'll give it a good go, but PSG have players that know how to spoil a party - they will only need one chance to end the tie, realistically.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:45 GMT 17 March

    Sporting 3-0 Bodo/Glimt (3-3 agg)

What a turnaround we have witnessed in a rainy Lisbon today.

Sporting have hauled back a 3–0 first‑leg deficit and they have all the momentum.

Bodø/Glimt, however, are clinging on after being under siege for most of this encounter.

We have got 30 more minutes in this tie which is far from done.

    Chelsea v Paris St-Germain (20:00 GMT, 2-5 agg)

    Chelsea

Chelsea will draw inspiration from the Club World Cup final win over PSG.

The Blues blew PSG away with a 3-0 win at the MetLife Stadium in July to be crowned world champions.

A repeat of that scoreline tonight will see Liam Rosenior's side take it to extra-time...

Rubble: Chelsea are out of their depth in this competition. It’s glaringly obvious where the problem lies. Goalkeepers and defence simply not up to standard. Chalobah, Jorgensen and Fofana would not get into any of the teams in the top six.

PSG love knocking English sides out of Europe, as we saw all too well last year.

    • Liverpool pushed the French champions to penalties but fell at the last-16 stage
    • Aston Villa didn't have enough in the quarter-finals
    • And finally, Arsenal fell in the semi-finals

There's nothing to separate Sporting and Bodo/Glimt after 180 minutes of football over two legs.

What a Champions League last-16 tie this has been but with more of it to come, who will emerge victorious?

Will Norwegian champions Bodo continue their fairytale? Or will Sporting finish the job?

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior, speaking to TNT Sports: "It needs to be near-perfect, but we are capable.

"I have seen the lads do it in the summer [in the Club World Cup] and score three goals against this team.

"Malo [Gusto] and Benoit [Badiashile] both pulled out late today - this is what football is about. Sometimes it throws these things up.

"We don't want to make the mistakes that we made in the first leg."

You don't have to get all three goals in ten minutes, if you get one in the first then you need to in the second and suddenly one more and you get that chaos.

I don't think Manchester City have come back from a first leg deficit but let's not pretend they don't have the quality. Their issue is if they go all out crazy, Real Madrid will pick them off.

They have to know when to use the momentum.

News conferences are tricky when a team is three goals down against a major rival and you must look ahead to the rematch.

You can't sound defeatist, but also you must be realistic.

There was talk about that famous day Manchester City were two goals down against Aston Villa on the final day but came back to win the Premier League title. City need to retain belief - that is to get away from the old cliche that they need to score early.

"We have some history behind us, and we remember that it is good. We have done many good things in the years.

"Well, I think we are as a team compact. Last season we were not at all stable, but in general good."

On the first leg: "Well, we know the first leg, the quality in the final third. We tried to impose our game and move the ball. Now it is time for people to make the difference."

On Erling Haaland: "We have to provide assists and passes to him because he is an incredible finisher."

Nuno Santos almost wins it for Sporting but the substitute sees his effort from the edge of the box rattle the woodwork.

With five minutes to go, Can Bodo/Glimt hold on and force extra-time here?

Right now, the Norwegians are completely on the back foot and there’s only one side you would back to win this in regulation time - and it’s not the team in yellow.

Chelsea’s hosting of European champions Paris St-Germain in the second leg has all the hallmarks of a big‑match occasion.

Plenty of football people I know have been calling in favours to try to secure tickets and, with problems on the District line, the Tube was packed with fans well before kick-off.

The bars are full, the street sellers are doing a roaring trade and there is a sizeable police presence on the streets for such a high‑profile match.

Major social media accounts among Chelsea supporters have urged fans to get behind the team, and giant flags will be on display as they look to mount a comeback from 5-2 down.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports: "We pick the team which we think is the right one to start - it is a long game.

"You have to put absolutely everything into every action from the first moment.

"You have to make something special out of it, and that comes down to individual performances."

On Bayer Leverkusen: "A well-organised team - they have a lot of strength to be in the position that they are right now."

On practising penalties: "We always do."
