Both sets of players looked remarkably relaxed when they arrived at the stadium. The Morocco players were laughing and joking as they took in the surroundings that they know so well.

Meanwhile Nigeria’s Calvin Bassey walked out on his own and had a huge smile on his face as he went over to the small pocket of Super Eagles supporters. Then he said a prayer on the edge of the penalty area.

As usual the Nigeria players were dancing and singing as they left their team coach. Yesterday Victor Osimhen said they wouldn’t be intimidated by this home crowd because they’re used to big games. But I have a feeling they will fly out of the blocks like they did against Algeria in the quarters, to try to silence the Morocco fans.

Nigeria's squad is packed with talent, but striker Victor Osimhen is arguably the biggest star of the lot.

Osimhen has four goals at this year's Afcon, and needs two more to level the late Rashidi Yekini as Nigeria's record goal scorer with 37.

The Galatasaray man has had an eventful tournament - a spat with Ademola Lookman during the 4-0 last-16 win over Mozambique sparked reports - which Nigeria have denied - that he threatened to quit the camp.

Whatever happens tonight, Osimhen is sure to be at the centre of it.

To think that there was a genuine debate in Senegal pre Afcon about whether Sadio Mane still deserved his place in this team (similar to the debate about Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal).

He may not be exactly the same player he was during his Liverpool days but his quality has made the difference for this Senegal team yet again.

When you play in such a deep block psychologically it's hard to turn that off and go out to attack. Once you concede a goal it is so, so difficult to claw it back.

Hossam Hassan has been heavily criticised by his own media because of his brand of football. At the press conference yesterday, he said he didn't care what was said about him, all that mattered was getting to the final. The criticism might not stop if his side can't respond.

Idrissa Gueye takes a huge chance truing to shield the ball inside his own penalty area.

Egypt nick the ball, but are penalised for a foul and Senegal can wind the clock down a little more.

As if by magic Egypt have come to life.

Trezeguet does well to bring down a lofted pass to him to the left flank, but Senegal clear his cross.

It's now Senegal's turn to defend like their lives depend on it.
