It's been a brilliant game to watch. You can see both sides want to win the game, and they are going for it.

There is no doubt about it, Morocco have been the better side and created the better chances. Nigeria haven't controlled the game as much as they want to and have not created many chances.

Calvin Bassey missing the final for that yellow card if Nigeria get there feels very harsh. Yes, he caught Diaz in the face, but it was totally accidental as the two players turned.

I feel for him. He has been excellent for Nigeria and he is also a lovely chap whenever you speak to him.

I feel referees should start taking things like that into account, but I doubt the law-makers agree.

There has not been one area of the pitch so far that you can say one side has dominated or forced their opponent to change tact.

Morocco have looked a little bit more dangerous, particularly on the flanks with Diaz. Perhaps they're edging it at the moment.

That'll do it for the first half.

No goals and only one shot on target for each side, but that was an absorbing 45 minutes.

It's tense isn't it? Nobody has been allowed to shine from either team. At the moment it is one for the purists, but that doesn't mean to say that it's not quality football. It's so absorbing

Bilal El Khannouss does brilliantly to escape his marker by playing a slick one-two with Ayoub El Kaabi, but Stanley Nwabali parries way his shot.

Achraf Hakimi swings in a dangerous cross that Nigeria goalkeeper has to juggle to get under control. He looks to release Akor Adams with a long punt up field, but the Morocco defence easily deal with it.

The game stops briefly because of an issue with the referee's ear piece.

This yellow card rule is awful. It was an extremely soft yellow card in my opinion, not even a free kick.

Hachraf Hakimi curls the resulting free-kick narrowly wide. Stanley Nwabali was at full stretch, so might have saved it had it been the right side of the post.

Brahim Diaz drives down the right flank and cuts inside Calvin Basey, before tumbling to the ground.

Basey is shown a yellow card for catching Diaz in the face with a trailing arm - he'll miss the final through suspension if Nigeria get there.

The referee missed Diaz blatantly pulling Basey's shirt.

Nigeria once again look to hit Morocco with a quick transition into space, but again a wayward pass sees the move break down.

A bit of fine-tuning is required if the Super Eagles are going to catch our Morocco's solid backline.

That is a good chance. It's a great ball from Hakimi and Diaz just didn't connect with it well. Glorious opportunity.

Achraf Hakimi swings in a corner to Adam Masina at the back post, but Ayoub El Kaabi cant's quite pull off a spectacular effort from the nod-down.

Morocco recycle the ball and Brahim Diaz gets his head to a cross, but his effort goes just wide of the far post.

The hosts are in the ascendency.

Morocco dominated Cameroon with their press in the quarter-final here, really suffocating the Indomitable Lions, especially in the first half.

The hosts have not had things all their own way to the same extent here, but it feels as if they might be slowly turning the screw, with Nigeria not finding it as easy to escape their own half.

Both sides have been happier to keep possession in the last five minutes or so after an end-to-end opening to this game.

That said, you get this feeling this could spark back into life at any moment.

The determination from the Moroccan players to win back the ball is huge. That's effective against the lesser teams but hard work and tiring against a quality outfit like Nigeria. Sometimes you've just got to slow down.

Bilal El Khannouss lofts a ball into the box following a quick free-kick, but a header from Neil El Aynaoui goes wide.

Victor Osimhen has found himself in some good positions when Nigeria look to break forward quickly, but his passing has been a bit off. He's failed to find a team-mate in a promising position on a couple of occasions already.

Dotted among the sea of red in the stands are pockets of stewards in canary yellow jackets. I've been watching the ones in front of me trying to persuade fans to sit down and not stand in the gangways.

They are not having much luck.

Most fans are finding it impossible to sit for more than 10 seconds before jumping back up again as if their seat was burning hot.

Suffice to say people are very up for it, but also rather tense.
