The 23-year-old will provisionally move to a career-high fifth in the PDC rankings if he wins tonight.

Gian van Veen kicks the set off with a max again but can't follow it with more treble 20s. He's down to 106 but wires the double 16.

I think it's been pretty good from both.

I want to give Charlie credit for his finishing. He's taken his opportunities and missed only two darts at double. He's looking good and effective and a danger - and Gian knows it.

It's a big night for 20-year-old Charlie Manby - he's provisionally 81st in the PDC world rankings (having risen more than 80 places during this tournament) and a win tonight will lift him into the top 64, which will mean he'll have a PDC Tour card next year.

Gian van Veen isn't at his best in this leg as he leaves 119 with Charlie Manby on 64.

Manby needs double eight and he piles it in to level the match.

The bottom half of the draw got a lot more interesting because of Justin Hood, because we just don't know if he can keep playing like he has.

I'm sure that the favourites in the half will all be feeling a little more like it's their year.

Hood will play either Gary Anderson or Michael van Gerwen in the last eight, while the winner of this match will take on either Luke Humphries or Kevin Doets.

Gian van Veen is on 116. He gets a dart at double 18 and pins it.

We're level in the set.

Charlie Manby has the darts in this set and he'll really need to make them count with Gian van Veen a set up.

Manby gets down to 107 and he bangs in the double 16 to take it out.

The darts is, of course, famous for the darts being thrown but we also love a good outfit.
