I don’t think anyone can call this half of the draw! However I have a funny feeling that Gary Anderson will knock out MVG.

I don't think there's been a better set of three games than there is ahead of us tonight... two new upstarts with incredible potential, then two old champs re-finding their past glories and then number two in the world against Doets, who's always threatened to make his name at a World Championship!! Love the darts!!

Result: Hood 4-0 Rock
Image source, Getty ImagesJustin Hood, speaking to Sky Sports after reaching the quarter-finals for the first time: "Not a fairy tale. I know what I could do and it's nice to prove it up here."
On what he was thinking during his run of successful doubles: "Just win the leg. Win every leg as it comes. There weren't any nerves but I had some on the last one when I was throwing for it.
"I'll be the same wherever I am, here or down the local. I won't change who I am. I'm doing well, long may it continue."

One of the best parts of this year's championship is the amount of upsets, and new stories being written. It's been fascinating, especially when you have someone like Justin Hood playing like this!
Harry, Cumbria
Result: Hood 4-0 Rock
That is a performance Justin Hood could've only dreamed of last night.
Josh Rock holds his hand up to the crowd. There was nothing the Northern Irishman could do today.
That's as good as it gets.
Hood 4-0 Rock (3-1)
Justin Hood is down to 119 with Josh Rock on 100.
He hits the treble 19, goes treble 12 and needs the double 13.

This is truly mental!!! How nerveless Hood seems is world class. If he can continue this form, especially the doubling, he can beat anyone. Outrageous performance so far.

I've got a good feeling about Happy Feet this year with the practice he's been putting in. There will be a whole new chain of Chinese restaurants coming soon to the south west.

Hood 3-0 Rock (2-1)
Josh Rock can't find the treble so back comes Justin Hood on 32.
Double 16 for the last eight. He misses, misses double eight and misses double four.
The last dart is always the hardest and he's missed four match darts as Rock stays in it.
Hood 3-0 Rock (2-0)
Justin Hood goes 180 and so does Josh Rock.
Hood needs 143 for the match. He goes treble 20, treble 17 but misses the double 16.
So he can miss after all!
Hood 3-0 Rock (2-0)
Josh Rock gets the chance to win the leg but misses. You know what's coming next: Justin Hood nails the double.
11 from 11.
Hood 3-0 Rock (1-0)

Justin Hood is now 10 from 10 on the doubles and is two legs away from the quarter-finals.
Hood 3-0 Rock (0-0)
This is a joke now. Justin Hood is nine from nine on the doubles and has thrown nine 180s. Josh Rock simply can't live with him.
