Summary

Have your say on the Women's T20 World Cup

    Thanks, Tim.

This was always built up to be a huge match in the context of this group and it's set up tantalisingly at the halfway mark. Such is the strength of this Australian side, we are saying that they weren't at their best but they've still managed to "scrape" their way to 172.

  2. South Africa need 173 to winpublished at 16:10 BST 13 June

Australia will be a tad disapponted with that total, but I think it might just be a touch too much for the South African batters.

Either way, it's going to be a fascinating passage of play and who better to take you through it than Ffion Wynne?

Two really poor reviews in the final over.

I'm not sure what the review was for. I am bewildered.

  5. Aus 172-8published at 20 overs

Australia eke out a run from the last delivery, inside-edged onto Carey's boot. South Africa claim an LBW, that's not given after the review, and Australia's innings is done.

I don't think Sune Luus has had the best day out there on the field. She had the ball in her hands, it just slipped out of her hands.

  7. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:04 BST 13 June

Kim Garth joins Nicola Carey, lifts the ball to long on and Sune Luus drops a comfortable chance - her second drop.

  8. wicket

King lbw b De Klerk 4 (Aus 167-8)

Missing off, missing leg, and hitting middle.

  9. Australia reviewpublished at 16:02 BST 13 June

Alana King is pinned LBW and given out, but opts for the review.

    It looks plumb.

And suddenly something like 180, 175 is looking like a score that they will finish on. I think that will be a little higher than South Africa would've wanted.

  11. Aus 167-7published at 19.2 overs

Nadine de Klerk takes the last over, and from her first Nicola Carey does superbly well to drive the ball between two fielders in the off side for four.

  12. Aus 162-7published at 19 overs

Nonkululeko Mlaba takes the 19th over and after conceding just seven runs she finishes with decent figures of 2-22.

    Richie Benaud would approve...

That was bulleting away but De Klerk hangs onto the catch. A chance she could've caught that with her teeth but she controls it.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:56 BST 13 June

    Sutherland c De Klerk b Khaka 21 (Aus 155-7)

The curse of the (live text) commentator strikes again...

Annabel Sutherland's eyes light up as she drives Khaka into the air over mid off - but it's not high enough and Nadine de Klerk takes the catch, fingers pointing up, in front of her face.

For Australia, 180 is still very much on the cards.

  16. Aus 155-6published at 17.4 overs

Annabel Sutherland has looked good from the off, and she climbs into Khaka, liftin her high and straight over the rope for a maximum.

South Africa have the makings of a really nice seam attack.

The bouncers haven't worked for South Africa today.

Shabnim Ismail is back on the field after that injury scare - maybe a finger problem - but it's Nadine de Klerk who is back in the attack.

She drops short and Annabel Sutherland pummels her to the rope at wide long leg, and with some smart running Australia eke 10 from that over.

    170 in the offing?

She's pretty underrated is Mlaba. Let's not forget that she has been South Africa's leading wicket taker in some tournaments.
