  1. wicket

    Hetmyer c Curran b Overton 23 (WI 55-3)

Jamie Overton bowls the final over of the powerplay and he gets rid of the danger man.

Shimron Hetmyer tries to play across the line and miscues it. It's miles up in the air but Sam Curran settles under it and produces a safe pair of hands.

    A timely breakthrough for England.

England need to start finding their line and length here quickly it will start getting very expensive otherwise. The two wickets were bad shots rather than good bowling

Reasonably loose stuff from England. I'm not sure the Will Jacks powerplay experiment has worked.

  4. 6 runs

    WI 52-2published at 5 overs

It goes from bad to worse for Will Jacks as Shimron Hetmyer closes out the over by sweeping him over the rope and deep into the stands.

Jacks goes for 19 in his first over and West Indies are motoring.

It's quick from Will Jacks who is looking to drive the ball into the surface but there's not much spin and Roston Chase can hit through the line. Next ball he crabs across the crease and sweeps. Good tactical batting.

  6. WI 45-2published at 4.4 overs

A change in bowling but no change in outcome.

Will Jacks comes into the attack but Roston Chase has hit him four three consecutive boundaries.

Not what Harry Brook had in mind when he turned to his off-spinner.

  7. WI 33-2published at 4 overs

Shimron Hetmyer seems to be in good nick again as he sends Sam Curran for another boundary.

It's an expensive offer from Curran - 14 coming of it.

West Indies have lost two or more wickets in the first two overs 19 times in T20I cricket. Their win percentage when they do is just 28%.

Fair to say he's wellied that one! Shimron Hetmyer slog swept that as if Sam Curran was a spinner. It's funny how quickly momentum shifts.

  10. 6 runs

    WI 27-2published at 3.3 overs

Shimron Hetmyer goes after Sam Curran and the ball goes high up in the air before landing safely between two England fielders.

But in the following delivery, he makes no mistake as he drops down on one knee and slog-sweeps the England bowler for the first six of the West Indies innings.

West Indies have not got away quickly but a couple of boundaries in that over will give them a little bit more confidence.

That is a lovely shot from Roston Chase. A nice seam position from Jofra Archer but it's full and Chase thumps it out of the middle of the bat.

  13. WI 19-2published at 3 overs

West Indies have Shimron Hetmyer, who hit a 36-ball 64 in their win against Scotland, and Roston Chase in the middle now.

And both the batters get their first boundaries on board in Jofra Archer's second over - Hetmyer rocking onto the backfoot to find the rope before Race drives through extra cover.

Great to see Sam Curran showing in the last game and now this one, why he should never have been dropped. He might go for runs occasionally but he is such a talent.

  16. WI 10-2published at 2 overs

A wicket while conceding just two runs in Sam Curran's first over.

A positive start - just what England would have wanted after that narrow escape against Nepal.

It was the shot of a player who maybe didn't realise the fielder was out there. He flashes at it and then looks up and thinks 'oh no'. England have two in seven balls and a great start.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.1 overs

    King c Salt b Curran 1 (WI 8-2)

Instant impact from Sam Curran and West Indies are in trouble!

Harry Brook turns to Curran to bowl with the new ball after left-arm spinner Liam Dawson had appeared to be warming up and his decision pays off.

Almost a replica of Shai Hope's dismissal but this time, the ball goes all the way to deep point where Phil Salt dives forward to complete the catch to sent back Brandon King.

Nice start by Jofra Archer. He'll be disappointed by the five wides gifted but banging back of a length and letting batters make the mistake - which is what happened to Shai Hope - will please him.

  20. WI 8-1published at 1 over

A good start for England and Jofra Archer then!
