    Chappell lbw b Coughlin 11 (Lancs 351 v Derbys 341-7)

That is well deserved for Paul Coughlin who has worked hard for that and arguably should have at least two and possibly three this innings.

Zak Chappell is not too pleased with the decision but it was probably fair given the shape which was straightening and the fact that it his the back pad.

Did it get a little bit of bat? Who knows but it is out and Coughlin has his first Lancs wicket on debut.

    Sussex 53-2 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

Ethan Bamber's action reminds me of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He's been doing his thing in the county circuit for a long time, and very well- why not give him a go vs NZ? Stokes gave Potts a chance 3 years ago so there is some precedent...

    Alex, Oxfordshire

That feels a bit of a left-field call, Alex.

But Ethan Bamber has two Sussex wickets in this innings and if he can produce a match-winning performance, who knows?

  3. 50 runs

50 up for Sussexpublished at 14:48 BST 12 April

    Sussex 53-2 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

Shortly after Tom Clark goes Sussex bring up their 50 in front of a growing crowd at Hove.

The home side need a partnership as they chase this challenging target.

  4. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 12 April

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 330-6

Luis Reece sweeps dismissively off his pads as Tom Bailey goes too full and too straight but the bowler comes back well with a big shout for lbw.

Too high and possibly a too wide but decent shape from the Lancs seamer.

The lead is down to just 21 now and Derbys have five overs to nab a third batting point.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Ben Coxpublished at 14:47 BST 12 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 500-5

    Ben Cox, LeicestershireImage source, Shutterstock

Beautiful stroke from Ben Cox, clipping Matt Fisher for a leg-side boundary, brings up his half-century from 88 balls - and also takes Leicestershire to the 500 mark.

Cox is the fifth batter to pass 50 in this innings as the Foxes close in on Surrey's total of 520.

Like Stephen Eskinazi, it's back-to-back half-centuries for Cox - the pair both reached that landmark in their opening game against Sussex as well.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:47 BST 12 April

    Clark c Webster b Bamber 10 (Sussex 49-2 - Target 328 v Warks)

Wickets have fallen in clusters in this game and now Sussex have lost two in five overs.

Tom Clark edges a drive to Beau Webster at gully and Ethan Bamber has both wickets so far.

  7. Compelling game at Hovepublished at 14:44 BST 12 April

    Sussex 48-1 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Radio Sussex

What has been a compelling game looks like it will now extend into a fourth day with Warwickshire favourites but Sussex not without a chance.

The wickets at Hove have tended to flatten out in recent seasons, and that combined with a deep batting line up, and time not an issue all weigh in Sussex's favour.

However, the middle order has been short of runs this season and they'll need to perform if Sussex are to win their second straight game.

  8. wicket

KENT ALL OUT FOR 178published at 14:42 BST 12 April

Kent 178 all out v Northants 684-2 dec

It's only the last wicket, but what a delivery from Calvin Harrison!

As the late great Richie Benaud called of a number of Shane Warne dismissals, 'Would you believe it? He's bowled him round his legs!'

Leggie Harrison, bowling round the wicket to last man Keith Dudgeon, does indeed bowl him round his legs.

A last wicket stand of 43 between him and Chris Benjamin shows what is possible, but the mountain for Kent is a halfway deficit of 506.

No surprise what Northants captain Luke Procter is going to do in this situation.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:40 BST 12 April

    Haines c Yates b Bamber 12 (Sussex 31-1 - Target 328 v Warks)

This time Warwickshire do have their wicket as Tom Haines plays a rather loose looking drive and edges it to Rob Yates in the slip cordon.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:35 BST 12 April

    Robson lbw b Waite 31 (Middx 59-2 - Target 262 v Worc)

Big wicket for Matthew Waite. He gets one to nip back at Sam Robson and wins the lbw appeal.

The breakthrough comes with Middlesex still needing just over 200.

  11. Postpublished at 14:35 BST 12 April

    Yorks 177 v Hants 251 & 173-4

Dom Bess is coming on for Yorks as they look to chip out Ben Brown but it has not quite gone according to plan as he hoiks a widish delivery over cow corner for six.

Brown has not hung around since he arrived at the crease and is clearly wanting to give this match, which Hants are undoubtedly leading, a bit of shove on.

  12. Hughes survivespublished at 14:32 BST 12 April

    Sussex 28-0 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

Bamber is convinced he's found Daniel Hughes inside edge and Kai Smith believes he's taken a great catch.

    Umpire Graham Lloyd doesn't agree.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:31 BST 12 April

    Bancroft lbw b Parkinson 56 (Glos 175 & 110-2 v Durham 605-5 dec)

Callum Parkinson sprints off in celebration as he has now claimed both set Gloucestershire batters.

Coming round the wicket to Cameron Bancroft, he gets past the defences and hits the pads, and the umpire raises his index finger.

Bancroft goes for 56, but after a first-innings duck and asking the visitors to bat first on Friday, not a game that will want to live long in the memory for the skipper.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:29 BST 12 April

    Dal c & b Bailey 21 (Lancs 351 v Derbys 319-6)

Anuj Dal has squirted one between second and third slip which races to the rope. The next ball is hammered back past the fingertips of Tom Bailey for another boundary.

But the third sees the Derbys man sent on his way and it is a brilliant piece of fielding off his own bowling from Bailey which does the trick.

A bit of shape away did not fool Dal who cracks it back to the left of the bowler in his follow-through. Bailey reaches instinctively to his left and grabs the ball with two hands.

A very smart piece of work and enough to bring Lancs a second bowling bonus point to go with their three batting points.

  15. Opening stand broken in Bristolpublished at 14:28 BST 12 April

    Glos 175 & 105-1 v Durham 605-5 dec

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have introduced spin for the first time in the game and Callum Parkinson has struck with his seventh ball.

Ben Charlesworth was caught at short leg by Graham Clark on 26, moments after changing his bat.

It ended the opening stand with Cameron Bancroft at 101. Bancroft has since gone on to reach 50 in 97 balls.

This morning Durham were looking for a three-day win, but Gloucestershire have made a real fight of it in their second innings. They are still a long way from safety though, but things seem a lot calmer than yesterday.

  16. SOMERSET BEAT ESSEX BY 10 WICKETSpublished at 14:26 BST 12 April
    Breaking

    Essex 149 & 245 v Somerset 348 & 49-0

Archie Vaughan finishes the game in style, slamming Simon Harmer for six and then four.

It took Somerset just 34 balls to pass their modest victory target, with Vaughan slamming 41 not out and Josh Thomas scoring the other eight runs.

A first win of the season for the visitors - and their first at Chelmsford since 2010.

  17. Postpublished at 14:25 BST 12 April

    Sussex 28-0 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

Tom Haines guides a short delivery from Woakes to the boundary and this is turning into a good start for Sussex in their run chase.

Still a long way to go though.

  18. 50 runs

50 up for Middlesexpublished at 14:23 BST 12 April

    Middlesex 50-1 - Target 262 v Worcestershire

Max Holden survives a big LBW shout. He may have just got an inside edge onto the ball.

Shortly after Middlesex bring up the 50 scored at less than three an over.

  19. Postpublished at 14:22 BST 12 April

    Essex v Somerset 34-0 (target 47)

This has certainly been a good use of the replacement system by Somerset, with Archie Vaughan coming in overnight for the injured Lewis Goldsworthy.

Vaughan has just clobbered Simon Harmer for six and he's scored 26 from 16 balls.

This chase shouldn't take Somerset too much longer.

  20. Postpublished at 14:21 BST 12 April

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 310-5

This has brought Mitch Stanley back down to earth after a near perfect delivery to dismiss Brooke Guest.

Anuj Dal has squirted one wide of gully down to the rope with his first delivery and, while he won't mind that, he very much will mind the next which the new Derbys batsman creams off his toes through wide midwicket.

He wraps up the over with another boundary through point.
