  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:29 BST 12 April

    Van Buuren b Roach 6 (Glos 175 & 155-6 v Durham 605-5 dec)

    Bowled him!

A pretty sorry shot to sum up Gloucestershire's start to the new season.

Graeme van Buuren tries to take on a pull shot off Kemar Roach as he drops short, but the batter drags it on to the stumps and the off-stump offers little resistance.

Roach gets in on the act as Durham take a sixth wicket and Glos have gone from 141-2 to 155-6.

  2. Postpublished at 15:26 BST 12 April

    Kent 178 & 21-1 v Northants 684-2 dec

No further successes for Northants since the early wicket of Zak Crawley, but it's not for the want of trying.

Ben Sanderson is toying with Ben Compton, beating his outside edge on two or three occasions, while visiting skipper Luke Procter has brought himself on at the other end after that early strike by Harry Conway.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Lehmannpublished at 15:26 BST 12 April

    Yorks 177 v Hants 251 & 232-4

Jake Lehmann has a single, chasing a cut shot as Dom Bess spins it away from him and he has his second half century of the match following his 76 in the first innings.

He has been outshone in terms of speed by skipper Ben Brown who is charging but has looked in control throughout. It has taken 89 balls and contained six fours.

Hants will continue at this pace you would have thought and try and put Yorks in tonight for a few overs.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:21 BST 12 April

    Bracey lbw b Potts 4 (Glos 175 & 145-5 v Durham 605-5 dec)

Durham really are starting to motor through this Gloucestershire batting line-up, and it's a second wicket for Matt Potts.

Bowling round the wicket to left-hander James Bracey, he thuds one into his pads and is down almost on his knees, imploring the decision, which he gets.

Potts now has two to go with Callum Parkinson's three.

Five needed to win, Glos still trail by 285 runs.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Brownpublished at 15:20 BST 12 April

    Yorks 177 Hants 251 & 223-4

Ben Brown has done it again, splitting the slip and gully to steer the ball down to the third man boundary, this time off Matt Revis, to reach his 50.

67 balls, five fours and a six are the relevant numbers for his milestone.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:19 BST 12 April

    Du Plooy c & b Taylor 19 (Middx 96-3 - Target 262 v Worcs)

Worcestershire needed that. It was a strange one as Leus Du Plooy lobs a caught and bowled chance taken by Tom Taylor.

Middlesex were looking comfortable but the away side will feel they're back in it.

  7. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 12 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 530-5

Another glimmer of a chance for Surrey to break this partnership as Stephen Eskinazi carves Matt Fisher behind point and Dom Sibley gets a hand to it. but can't cling on.

In fairness, it would have been a blinder if Sibley had held it, but Leicestershire are making the most of these few close calls.

They lead by 10 and could accumulate plenty more during the afternoon and evening, if they're minded to try and force the pace of this contest.

Get Involved - Zak Crawley's strugglespublished at 15:17 BST 12 April

    #bbccricket

That’s the end of Crawley for England now surely? England have some talented youngsters McKinney, the Rew brothers, Baker, the Ahmed brothers, Archie Vaughan. Surely it’s time to look to the future.

    Steve, Weston-super-Mare

Crawley struggling badly, but we all know he will retain his place in the England team

    Ronald Peter Sampson, Milton Keynes

There can be no justification for picking Crawley in the summer. He can't get even score in Division 2, how do we expect him to open in Test Cricket?

    Peter, Southend

Crawley playing an obviously away swinging delivery through midwicket then stares at the pitch in disbelief. He's toast for England, surely.

    Glen Ingham, Leeds

Putting into perspective, Crawley has seen 4 centuries scored prior to batting. Completely shot of form he surely needs time away from test cricket to find some form

    Neil, London

A total of 60 from four innings is not what Zak Crawley or his Kent team would have wanted from these opening two games.

While fellow Ashes batter Jamie Smith has two hundreds under his name already for Surrey, Crawley looks shorn of form and confidence.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:15 BST 12 April

    Reece c Hurst b Coughlin 36 (Lancs 351 v Derbys 362-9)

Lovely timing from Luis Reece who lifts Paul Coughlin for six over the midwicket boundary (by some way as well).

But the bowler comes back strong again with a superb in-dipper which takes the inside edge on the way through to Matty Hurst.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:09 BST 12 April

    Coles lbw b Booth 9 (Sussex 68-3 - Target 328 v Warks)

Michael Booth falls over as he hits James Coles on the toe with a yorker-length delivery.

Coles doesn't look impressed as the umpire raises his finger.

Warwickshire looking on top now but this game has fluctuated back and forth so plenty of time for further twists.

  11. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 12 April

    Lancs 351 & Derbys 352-8

Shoaib Bashir is struck on the pad by Coughlin but umpire Sue Redfern decides that is going down leg.

Could have gone either way that one but not a bad decision by any means.

The Derbys man responds by hitting a well-timed straight drive next ball to bring up the 350 and deliver a third batting point for his side.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:07 BST 12 April

    Phillips c Aldridge b Potts 14 (Glos 175 & 141-4 v Durham 605-5 dec)

Durham definitely want to be on the M5 going north tonight!

Joe Phillips guides the ball into the bucket hands of Kasey Aldridge at second slip from a ball just outside off and Gloucestershire have lost 4-40 this afternoon.

Matt Potts takes the wicket and spoils Callum Parkinson's chances of taking all 10!

  13. dropped catch

Dropped catch at The Ovalpublished at 15:07 BST 12 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 523-5

Things haven't been going in Surrey's favour today - and they can't really afford to put down chances that do come their way.

Ben Cox drives Dan Lawrence aerially but Tom Lawes is a little slow to pick it up at long on and the opportunity goes begging.

Meanwhile, Leicestershire have moved into the lead - can they extend that enough to put the home side under pressure on day four?

  14. Crawley's early season strugglespublished at 15:04 BST 12 April

    Kent 178 & 7-1 v Northants 684-2 dec

Zak Crawley's England place is perceived to be under threat - and he's hardly torn up any trees with his early season form for Kent.

A total of 60 runs from four innings so far for Crawley - nine and 20 in the opening round against Durham, then 26 and five in Kent's current game against Northamptonshire.

Questions will certainly (continue to) be asked.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:04 BST 12 April

    Aitchison c Hurst b Coughlin 1 (Lancs 351 v Derbys 347-8)

Ben Aitchison has a flash cut outside off stump to Paul Coughlin and under-edges this to Matt Hurst for a simple catch behind the stumps.

Shoaib Bashir is the new man at the crease.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:03 BST 12 April

    Hammond b Parkinson 13 (Glos 175 & 141-3 v Durham 605-5 dec)

Callum Parkinson is ripping through this Gloucestershire batting as he claims a third wicket.

Miles Hammond tries to dance down the wicket to negate any spin, but is beaten and off-stump is lying forlornly on the ground.

Do Durham sense a Sunday night drive home?

  17. Postpublished at 15:01 BST 12 April

    Yorks 177 v Hants 251 & 200-4

Not the first time Ben Brown has flirted with the slip cordon but this one was probably controlled with a big gap between slip and gully.

The Hants captain is rattling along at 33 from 50 balls and the lead is up to 274 which is getting close to dangerous for Yorks.

  18. ouch!

Hughes hit on handpublished at 15:00 BST 12 April

    Sussex 63-2 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

Daniel Hughes needs treatment after being hit on the glove by Michael Booth.

After a short delay the opening batter carries on.

  19. 100 runs

100 partnership for Eskinazi and Coxpublished at 15:00 BST 12 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 513-5

Ben Cox has now overtaken his partner, with 63 to Stephen Eskinazi's 61, as the partnership advances into three figures.

Leicestershire are just seven runs short of the Surrey total now.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:56 BST 12 April

    Crawley c Zaib b Conway 5 (Kent 178 & 7-1 v Northants 684-2)

Not what Kent - or Zak Crawley - needed as they follow on!

The England batter whips Harry Conway off his pads for four, but tries a similar shot later in the over and the ball loops off a leading edge into the hands of cover.

The second time Crawley has fallen to Conway in this match and Kent need a whopping 499 to avoid an innings defeat.
