  1. WI 15-0published at 2 overs

Neither Hayley Matthews nor Qiana Joseph looked particularly comfortable against Kim Garth there, but they take seven from the second over.

Australia's fielding has been less than its parts this World Cup. Only 64% of their catching opportunities have been taken, only the eighth best in the tournament.

  3. WI 12-0published at 1.3 overs

Kim Garth is straight on the money and beats Hayley Matthews' outside edge with a perfect away-swinger.

The Irish-born seamer finds the edge with the very next ball, but it's past the diving fielder at slip and goes for four.

Lucy Hamilton's not done much wrong this over and she's gone for eight. There's so much on offer here.

  5. WI 8-0published at 1 over

A decent comeback from Lucy Hamilton, who concedes just four more after that opening boundary.

That's the way you want to start if you're Hayley Matthews.

  7. WI 4-0published at 0.1 overs

    Glorious.

Hayley Matthews leans into a full delivery from Lucy Hamilton and belts it through the covers to start with a boundary.

  8. WI 0-0published at 14:32 BST

We've had the anthems and are just about ready to go.

Lucy Hamilton has the new ball for Australia, with Hayley Matthews on strike for West Indies.

Worrying signs for Matthews' side, with all-rounder Deandra Dottin being carried around the boundary with an apparent injury.

We'll bring you more on that when we have it.

Windies fortunate to have made the semis. Hopefully they can post a competitive score. They just have to go for it.

Three of the five women's T20Is at The Oval have been won by the side bowling first, two by the side batting first - no major pattern.

If this game was at Lord's, I'd be saying Australia would hammer West Indies. But here, I have a feeling for the West Indies to win.

They've all saved their best game for now and I just think that toss... Australia should have batted first. Everyone knows score on the board is very important. I think that was a bad call personally.

I don't think that extra 2mm of grass will make any difference.

  13. 'We need some of our big players to step up'published at 14:22 BST

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews at the toss.

Happy with batting first?: "Yeah I think it’s a pretty good wicket here at The Oval, we’re not going to change too much. We probably would’ve had a bowl first, but at the same time we feel like we have nothing to lose and can go out there and play a fearless brand of cricket.

"We need to keep believing but at the same time we just need some of our big players to step up, myself included. That’s probably what we’ve missed this tournament but it still bring up a lot of positives to get to this stage with a lot of our big players not making big performances."

Looks like a ground you need a big total on?: "100%. Probably, if not, one of the best wickets in England, so we’re definitely gonna have to get the score up in this first innings."

  14. 'Hopefully we can put pressure on early'published at 14:19 BST

Australia captain Sophie Molineux at the toss: “We’re going to have a bowl. Looks like a good pitch to hopefully come out here and put a bit of pressure on early."

On deciding to bowl and the pitch: “It does look a little bit furrier than yesterday, it’s grown overnight! Just be able to get out here and have a run around first.”

    On changes: “No. Same team.”

On whether it’ll be the same approach from her side: “I feel like West Indies are an incredible team and we have to bring our best and a part of that is being able to play our style of play, no matter who come up against.”

  15. How they got herepublished at 14:16 BST

Six-time winners Australia won all five of their group matches, culminating in an impressive victory against India on Sunday.

    They will take some stopping.

West Indies meanwhile have lost against England and Ireland and were given a scare by Scotland in an up-and-down group stage.

They beat Australia in the final when they won this competition for the only time in 2016.

  18. Why is this game being played at 14:30?published at 14:07 BST

    Matthew Henry

Many of you have been asking why this game is taking place in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday.

Well, the game was scheduled to suit TV schedules in India. That's why India would have played in this game whether they finished first or second in their pool. Ultimately, they didn't qualify.

It's sure to hit the attendances. We understand plenty of the tickets that had been sold had gone to Indian fan groups. Will they still come? We'll see.

It's a tricky balance, of course. You want big crowds for these games but also finances are such that they are hard to ignore.

  19. Australia win toss & bowlpublished at 14:04 BST

West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews calls tails, but it comes down a head and Sophie Molineux says Australia fancy bowling first.

We'll bring you the teams very shortly.
