    Thanks Adwaidh.

India need 188 runs to win - that's a required run-rate of 9.40 runs an over.

The home openers of Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan are in the middle - the former has been dismissed for ducks in his last three games.

South African captain Aiden Markram will open the bowling with his off-breaks.

That’s all from me for now.

My colleague Mike Peter will take you through the rest of this game which looks finely poised at the halfway stage.

    Over to you, Mike.

Dewald Brevis provided exactly the kind of support David Miller needed to keep South Africa’s chase on track.

He scored 45 runs off 29 balls before falling to Shivam Dube.

I think the game will be very dependent on how Lungi Ngidi bowls, he's been South Africa's outstanding bowler in the tournament so far.

Back-to-back sixes to end South Africa's innings from Tristan Stubbs, who hits an unbeaten 44 from 24 balls to hand India a strong challenge in their Super 8 opener.

It's fantastic recovery from the Proteas after they lost three wickets inside the powerplay with David Miller the chief architect of their innings and both Dewald Brevis and Tristan Stubbs also contributing.

  6. dropped catch

Stubbs dropped on 28published at 19.3 overs

    SA 175-7

Tristan Stubbs doesn't connect well as he looks to clear the rope through backward square leg and Washington Sundar is there.

But the India fielder fumbles it and adding insult to injury, the ball goes behind for a boundary.

What's so fantastic about Jasprit Bumrah's figures is that there are 12 dot balls. That's two overs of dot balls in a T20 game which tells you everything you need to know about the quality of Bumrah.

  8. SA 167-7published at 19 overs

Jasprit Bumrah finishes with figures of 3-15 - very impressive considering how his team-mates have leaked runs this evening.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.5 overs

    Bosch c & b Bumrah 5 (SA 167-6)

Corbin Bosch has indeed half-volleyed it back to Jasprit Bumrah and the India pacer did so well to hold onto it with one hand - that's his third wicket today.

  10. Umpire reviewpublished at 18.5 overs

    SA 167-6

No surprise here as Jasprit Bumrah piles more pressure on South Africa batters.

Only three singles from the first three balls before Corbin Bosch looks for a reverse sweep but misses.

Bumrah then plans a perfect yorker which is played back at Bumrah who collects cleanly and he wants his captain Suryakumar Yadav to review this for a catch.

  11. SA 164-6published at 18 overs

Corbin Bosch, the new South Africa batter in the middle, gets off the mark with a four through the leg side.

Seven runs and a wicket in that Arshdeep Singh over with two more to come.

South Africa were gunning for 200 at one point but that seems a bit far-fetched now, with India finding their way back.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.2 overs

Jansen c Rinku Singh b Arshdeep Singh 2 (SA 158-6)

South Africa have lost another wicket and India have wrested some control back in these final overs.

Marco Jansen swings at Arshdeep Singh but couldn't get the distance and Rinku Singh collects at deep mid-wicket.

  13. SA 157-5published at 17 overs

Jasprit Bumrah mixes things up to keep the South Africa batters guessing.

They only manage five singles from that over and India’s trump card still has one over left.

  14. SA 152-5published at 16 overs

Varun Chakrvarthy wraps up his shift with two dot balls.

He's gone for 47 runs from his four overs today but has picked up the big wicket of David Miller.

I'm not too unhappy with that approach from David Miller. South Africa will be looking at getting 200 and someone had to go for it.

That's an excelling innings from Miller. There's still enough batting to push 180 runs maybe even 190-200.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.4 overs

    Miller c Tilak Varma b Varun 63 (SA 152-5)

David Miller finally perishes after a well-played 63 from 35 balls.

His innings end after finding Tilak Varma's hands at long-off.

After an expensive few overs, Varun Chakravarthy finally has a wicket.

  17. SA 151-4published at 15.2 overs

    Varun Chakravarthy's misery is compounded.

Tristan Stubbs hits it straight back over Chakravarthy's head for a maximum as South Africa race towards 200!

  18. SA 144-4published at 15 overs

That shot from David Miller is the only boundary from Hardik Pandya's latest over.

However, Miller and Tristan Stubbs run two each in the final two balls to make it a 10-run over.

  19. SA 139-4published at 14.2 overs

A fine shot from David Miller as he gently guides the ball through the gap between the wicketkeeper and short third - no one is stopping that.

I think South Africa will be happy with how things have turned out after those three early losses.

David Miller is playing with a level of responsibility befitting of South Africa's most experienced player. We're really seeing him at his best here.
