Now it's Kagiso Rabada who gets a change of ends - he bowls the last over of the powerplay.

He starts with four dot balls before the India batters take a couple of singles.

South Africa's powerplay - they've taken three wickets and have now gone three overs without conceding a boundary.

South Africa really flexing their muscle here. Brutal batting, canny bowling, outstanding fielding...they are one of the most complete teams in this tournament.

There was an awful moment when you could see what was coming, the two fielders, Corbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj, couldn't hear each other. They ended up looking like they were playing a game of twister.

    Crucially Bosch got the ball.

    Abhishek c Bosch b Jansen 15 (Ind 26-3)

Two South African fielders converge on a dropping ball... and one takes the catch.

It's Corbin Bosch who emerges with the ball after he and Kesvhav Maharaj collided under Abhishek Sharma's skied ball between mid-on and mid-wicket.

Maharaj managed to curb a bit of momentum a touch before impact, while Bosch clutched the ball to his chest as he hit the deck.

Neither fielder looks too impressed, but the important thing is that South Africa have taken another India wicket.

  7. Ind 26-2published at 4 overs

Three runs from Lungi Ngidi's first over, two singles and a wide - that means India's required run-rate has crept over 10 runs an over.

In Sri Lanka's chase earlier in the day, we saw Jofra Archer and Will Jacks bowl through unchanged.

In this match South Africa have already used four bowlers.

I believe these are the best two teams in the competition and this is a dress rehearsal for the final.

    Four more.

A full toss from Kagiso Rabada and Abhishek Sharma fires that through the covers, beating the diving Lungi Ngidi.

That's the way to do it.

Abhishek Sharma flails wildly at Kagiso Rabada's first three deliveries, failing to score, but he lifts the fourth deftly over the boundary behind the keeper.

It was a bouncer from Rabada and Abhishek simply helped the ball on its way by allowing it to glance off his bat.

    Target 188

Here's the home captain and he settles some nerves with a pair of fours.

Suryakumar Yadav immediately gets off the mark with a shot through mid-wicket, then two balls later he puts Marco Jansen through backward point.

Maybe the noise around the venue misled Tilak Varma but spectators around the ground will know that's a big moment.

    Yeah, that's just out.

Curious review, perhaps Tilak Varma simply didn't hear the edge.

Either way, India are in trouble early on.

    And another one?

Tilak Varma swipes at Marco Jansen's first ball and Quinton de Kock celebrates taking the catch behind the stumps.

The India batter reviews - there's no other conceivable source of noise here.

Bumrah is an absolute freak! Extremely accurate and difficult to score against. Standout bowler for India today. Continues to be the world’s best all format bowler. Looking forward to seeing whether Rabada and Jansen can make early inroads.

Rickelton was running backwards - I was backing the ball at one stage, but he did well to hold on to it.

It's Ishan Kishan who goes for a duck!

The opener was almost dismissed from the preceding delivery, dropping Aiden Markram's ball just shot of mid-on, before skewing the ball high up in the air.

Ryan Rickelton does well to get under the falling ball and take the catch - the home side are one down without scoring.

I think the plan is to burgle an over here - Markram has done this a lot, opening the bowling.
