George Munsey's magnificent knock sets the stage for his Royal High Corstorphine teammate Brandon McMullen.

The stylish South African-born right hander moved to Stirling for university and qualified for his adopted nation on residency grounds.

He blasted a magnificent 39-ball 95 in the Scots' warm-up defeat by Namibia and something similar here would be more than handy.

Italy have finally got their lengths right! They'd been bowling too full at George Munsey.

George Munsey has been playing in the ILT20 over the winter so it's no surprise to see him in such good touch.

He's up to 80 off 50 balls now after whipping pizza maker Crishan Kalugamage fine for four.

Munsey will be eyeing a century here. But it will not be near his fastest. He got a 41-ball ton against the Netherlands in 2019 so he won't break any records today

A half-tracker from Ben Manenti, who has a little cappuccino-froth tash above his top lip, but George Munsey is unable to punish it.

However, later in the over Munsey pummels the spinner over the leg-side for six.

That's a good over by Smuts - he held his length well and he's got some grip off the pitch.

I've got an uncomfortable feeling for the game here, this is such an expensive over.

JJ Smuts - who brazenly admitted the other day he has never even been to Italy - is brought into the attack. He qualifies for the Azzurri through marriage.

Smuts played six ODIs and 16 T20 internationals for South Africa earlier in his career.

Michael Jones and George Munsey pick up a boundary apiece - albeit rather fortuitously off the edges of their bats.
