    Kent 416 v Middlesex 270-6

Keith Dudgeon is bowling around the wicket for Kent and trying to bounce his man out.

Max Holden pulls a short ball for four and Dudgeon puts his hand over his face as the ball just evades deep backward square leg.

Dudgeon moves his fielder further around to where the ball went.

    Horse, stable door, bolted?

The follow-on has also now been avoided which seemed unlikely at 47-4.

    Sussex v Hants 182-9 - lead 214

What a shot by Kyle Abbott.

    Somerset 208 & 0-0 v Warks 330

Jordan Hermann and Josh Thomas are out in the middle as Somerset look to make inroads into Warwickshire's 122-run lead.

Ethan Bamber immediately unleashes a noisy appeal as he strikes Hermann's pad first ball. Not out.

The opener then almost chips a catch to mid-off, but it drops a fraction short of the fielder's dive Heart in mouth time.

    D'Oliveira c Bancroft b van Buuren 52 (Worcs 209-5 v Glos 289)

The penultimate over of the day at New Road proves to the undoing of Brett D'Oliveira.

The Pears has battled for the best part of two sessions, but when Graeme van Buuren gives one a bit more air, he's tempted into a drive and it ends in the hands of Cameron Bancroft at slip.

Reward for some toil from Gloucestershire.

    Worcs 209-4 v Glos 289

Nobody embodies the fight you associate with Worcestershire better than Brett D'Oliveira.

The captain has been a bit short of runs, but he has dug in today and he has churned out a fighting fifty.

He is dragging his side towards that Glos' first innings total of 289.

    Organ c Leaning b Unadkat 48 (Sussex v Hants 173-9 - lead by 205)

    What an absolutely fabulous catch!

Felix Organ edges towards the slip cordon and this looks like it should be a take at first slip.

Jack Leaning gets across from second slip though and makes a fabulous one-handed grab to his left.

Organ has to drag himself off after checking with the umpire if that carried. He can't believe it.

    Essex 13-2 v Notts - trail by 260 runs

A great day for the defending champions but a horror show from current leaders and title pretenders, Essex.

A century from Jack Haynes was the mainstay of Notts taking a 273-run first innings lead.

The loss of two wickets late in the day means the home side have a mountain to climb to get back in this one and Notts are well in the title chase.

    A Sunday finish anyone?

    Essex 13-2 v Notts - trail by 260 runs

A huge shout for a catch behind to dismiss Dean Elgar.

The Essex batter throws his head to the skies and Notts go off to celebrate but the umpire keeps his finger down.

That really would have put the tin lid on things for Essex. Notts looked convinced and Elgar's reaction seemed to be a giveaway but it stays at 13-2.

One over remains in the day.

The eighth wicket goes down and Andrew Neal does not like this one at all.

It is decided by umpire Jack Shantry that Neal gets an inside edge onto his pad before he is caught easily at first slip by Tom Haines.

Neal turns back to ask what part of the bat that hit. He has to go though.

Kyle Abbott is in for Hampshire.

Dropped catchpublished at 17:58 BST 20 June

    Sussex v Hants 173-7 - lead by 205

Big opportunity goes down for Sussex.

Felix Organ (48*) swipes outside of off-stump in an attempt to find his half-century.

It's uppish and flies to Jack Carson at third slip and it seems harsh to call it a chance but he gets two hands to it well above his head before seeing it go down.

Sussex need those to stick. Organ survives.
