Prasidh Krishna does bowl a heavy ball. In the past, he would bowl two good balls, two average balls, and two boundaries, so he would leak runs.

Now he's learned to bowl fuller without compromising on pace.

Runs off the bat finally come off the eighth ball of the innings as a Jos Buttler clip to short mid-wicket nutmegs Washington Sundar.

Two singles and a leg-bye the only runs from the over as Prasidh Krishna keeps it tight early on.

Shreyas Iyer isn't on the pitch. Tilak Varma is leading the team right now.

Big lbw shout. It hit Salt above the pads, on the thigh guard.

Arshdeep has a word with his skipper but in the end they decide not to.

Good over from Arshdeep, just the one loose delivery for four leg-byes.

    Target 159

Arshdeep Singh swings his third ball down the leg side, past sprawling wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.

The ball races away to the boundary lodges between two boundary sponges - that's the only runs of the over as Phil Salt can't get India's opening bowler away.

Indeed, the opener is struck on the thigh pad from the final delivery of the over - an appeal from the bowler and India seem to half consider a review, before wisely choosing not to.

India are at least 20-25 runs short. They need early wickets, quick wickets. Something like the start they got in Manchester [in the second T20I] would be ideal.

As an India fan this is an incredibly tough watch. I was in favour of removing SKY as captain (due to his age and declining form), but dropping Samson for no reason makes no sense. This is a team devoid of any confidence. I miss Bumrah.

England openers Jos Buttler and Phil Salt walk to the middle - the latter will face the opening ball from Arshdeep Singh.

This is the first instance where seven of the top eight batters in a T20I have been left-handers.

Shreyas Iyer finishes with 80 from 49 balls, scoring just over half of his side's runs.

He'll face an uphill battle if he's to stop his side sliding to a fifth consecutive defeat in completed matches - England will be favourites chasing 159.

We'll need the technology to sort that out.

You see a lot of bowlers attempting that. Not many pull it off.

India have not made the most of their 20 overs.

Axar run out (Archer) 1 (Ind 158-7)

Jude Bellingham eat your heart out!

New batter Axar Patel's first ball is a dot, before a single to cover gets him down the end.

Shreyas Iyer, on 80, faces the over's final delivery and is struck by Jofra Archer's final delivery.

The India captain sets off for a bye single, and Archer races down the pitch alongside Axar and side-foots the ball onto the stumps.

Replays confirm the wicket - India finish on 158-7.

Not just a wicket but a precious dot ball at the end of the innings.

Adil Rashid safely pouches it. Barely had to move. Washington Sundar hasn't had a distinguished batting performance tonight. India rather stumbling towards the end of their innings.

    Washington c Rashid b Archer 5 (Ind 157-6)

Dropped into the hands of Adil Rashid!

Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar chip mis-timed shots out into the deep for a single and two respectively, before the latter goes to pull Jofra Archer.

He doesn't get hold of the shot properly, and Adil Rashid takes a simple catch at long-leg.

Sam Curran is getting a pat on his back from his county colleague Will Jacks. A terrific over. At this stage of the game to yield just four.

  17. Ind 154-5published at 19 overs

That's some rather fine death bowling from Sam Curran, mostly full deliveries to see just four singles coming off the penultimate over of the innings.

He finishes with figures of 0-22, while Shreyas Iyer will face the first ball of the final over from Jofra Archer.

    That's gone even further!

Having chopped Adil Rashid through third for four, Shreyas Iyer ends the over with another six down the ground.

Rashid finishes with figures of 1-49, with 20 of those runs coming from this over.

Two overs to go, can Shreyas Iyer bludgeon his side to a respectable total?
